This transfer won't happen. He won't leave Saints unless he forces it through (he won't) or Saints get relegated (obviously not looking likely anytime soon)
With you there G.

Lallana vs Coutinho in 2013/14 Premier League season
Lallana has...
- more goals
- higher pass accuracy
- more aerial duels won
- more interceptions per game
- blocks more shots per game
- more dribbles per game
- more crosses per game
Liverpool should be concentrating on sorting out their defence (which has conceded more goals than Saints) first rather than their attack that has scored over 100 goals.

We will not accept £20 mill for Lallana. If he goes it will be for a massive sum.

You play Newcastle at Anfield in you last game, I'm confident you'll break the 100 goal barrier before the transfer window opens.![]()
You said "has scored"![]()
I didn't say solely in the Premier League, I just said over 100 goals.
You defence should be more of a concern, as it has conceded more than ours.

Lallana would wipe out a good chunk of the 60 mill + my mate says we'll have for transfers.

We need defenders and a DM.
If we blew our budget on players like Lallana (much as I like him) we'd have the same problem as this season.
We'd be scoring a ****load of goals, but we'd need to because we'd be letting them in all over the shop.
There's precious little wrong with our attack, and imo, we shouldn't even be considering making offers for any more forward thinking players until we've addressed the weaknesses at the back.

Absolutely agree we need to improve the defensive side of our team and we have a very good attack but beyond the first eleven, there is nothing. With CL football secured, we need numbers and options.
Yes, we need a stronger squad. But we can't use up a large part of our budget on one player in an area where we are strong. We couldn't pay a huge transfer fee and wage for someone like Lallana, only for him to be on the bench, or else replace a current player who'll then be in that situation.
We can only play 11 at a time, and we have to prioritise the weaker areas. We have some decent loanees and younger players that we'll have to rely on for squad depth, atm.
It's pointless to compare our squad with the likes of City and Chavs because we don't have their spending power.
If we do well in the CL for 2 or 3 years then things might change, but we must give urgent priority to plugging the gaps, imo.
Selling Suarez would give us a bit more to spend though![]()
there's defo a thread for that. We don't want to sell him.
