OH Just noticed £18 profit in the transfer windows. Ashley really is a top businessman if he's made that much. I take the lead 2-1. Erm, unless I've made a mistake.

I quoted million in the first figure, therefore assumed we were talking in millions. You may notice I didn't put "m" in the second figure, but nobody picked up on that one. Still 1-0.

Putting all the punctuation bullshit to one side. Who do you think would buy newcastle? I don't really understand economics or how a football club is £240 million in debt to its owner, it kind of baffles me that and I must admit my ignorance on that matter. Does that then mean that the minimum that anyone can buy that club for is £240 million, eg it can be bought for a nominal fee of a pound but with 240 million pound in debt already in place. If that's the case who the fck would buy it? Genuine question Sombrero as my economic understanding is very limited I must admit.

About right mate. However, I never really get that bored always mind to find something to do, even it is just posting on here. Enjoy the game tomorrow.
 
£60 m on 16 players. If they sell Cabaye for £18 m who will they sign ?. We have bought at least 23 players but only 5 or 6 or quality.

Just spent ten minutes trying to find fail Tash's thread and had to go back through my posts to find it here in a ****ing sticky!!!!!!!!!!!!


If the mods on here are going to start the merging threads **** you are going to lose me as a member here. (Will please quite a few I know :p )

Merging threads is understandable if it is a repost of a news item or about the same player.


Copying the scums board way of working is bad news.
I like to go back to threads I have an interest in, even if it is just to read what my fellow mackems post, rather than say anything myself and repeat what they have said.

If I have to trawl through multiple pages of ****e in one thread that defeats what is so good about our board as it was..

I want to be able to avoid any **** not have to wade through it.

Sorry marra, i just thought that as we are getting new weekly take the piss threads (wholy justified) it might be worth keeping them in one place.
