He must be asking for far too much, or theres something else complicating things but god knows what! Cant get my head around why we wont give out a contract to our best defender. Utterly deflated and fed up!
I don't know how he can claim that he is not part of 'future plans' when he is still under a 4 year contract. Yeah.....I think hes being a mercenary but playing the victim......get rid, at the very least £20 million please!!!
It is odd but there's no way a Sky Sports journo would just make up a statement. I can't see past this being legit - makes sense with Kone having his suits with him at the AOL today.

His boss promised him a new contract and left before giving him one. That's not Short's fault, Short shouldn't have to action Sam's plans, Sam left us high and dry. He's banging on about wanting to stay but requesting a transfer as a bigger contract is more important than staying at SAFC... Then don't stay for me.
He should be getting his head down and earning a new contract under Moyes. Greedy, lazy option instead. I can't be arsed with all of the media posturing a la Yaya who has banged on about new contracts every ****ing summer.

****ing PR disaster. We can't just buy people. We can't just sell people. I'm critical of Short but this doesn't fall solely on his head for me. If what's reported is true I think, as ever, he's a clown, Kone is a greedy little **** and his agent is a snake like any other agent.
Feel a bit sorry for Moyes inheriting this mess.
I've seen his English. It isn't that good. Agent prepared i say and handed over to the press. This agent is one of Big Sam's muckers, go to agent for transfers. Thank **** Kone is the only player we've got on our books with this guy.

Pretty apparent that Ellis and Sam had a massive row at the end... Starting to feel like a parting gift from Sam.
If he didn't want him why not just accept the £18M?

Everyone is saying we should pay him what he wants yet although he played well from Jan, he has only done so for 4 months. I think it's too early to give him more. If he wanted a definite raise it should have been in the contract. Keep us up and.... Etc. he didn't keep us up on his own, without Defoes goals we'd be down, Kirchoff etc.
