He holds the ball up, everything sticks. Whickham doesn't (it will come, i'm sure of that). Could be a very savvy signing, although I agree, not exciting.
not exciting at all, but i'd take functional over fanciful every time when it comes to january signings. we need a striker who can do the job right now, and davies will.
Davies is as good as we're going to get in a January window , without breaking the bank. It's been proven now that there aren't any bargain strikers to be had at this time of year. I'd love to have seen Pav coming in , but that was never going to happen unless we got a megabucks offer for Gyan. Davies will do a job for us till that happens.
