Surprised he lasted this long.
when did scunthorpe end up in the conference? passed me by
Indeed, it just goes to show if you have the gift of the gab you can keep yourself in a job longer than normally you would expect. He bored the pant off me listening to him, but he certainly seems to believe in his own hype.

That's how I still have a job
It was a disaster last year for them, finished well adrift on 25 points or something. Surprised he was not sacked at Christmas.
Benny’s brotherWho is Keith Hill ?
Yesterday was the day to be sacked, Parker was first then half an hour or so later, it was Ross at Dundee Utd, then a bit later Scunny got rid of Hill, probably saved themselves from a 9-0.Hardly surprising.

Burnsey talking up (wait for it) Curtis Woodhouse for the scunny hot seat...Poor lad, what's the done to deserve that?
With a glittering managerial career of Sheffield FC, Goole, Hull United, Bridlington Town, Tadcaster Albion and Gainsborough Trinity, I can see why he's been put forward.
He's worked his way up though I think and Gainsborough are only two divisions below Scunthorpe. I don't know that much about his abilities but on paper it's only like Watford appointing that bloke from Forest Green isn't it?
Well, Rob Edwards wasn’t sacked from Forest Green, he got them promoted to League One.
Woodhouse was sacked from all those non-league clubs.
He walked away from most, if not all of them.
His managerial record is actually very good, he's generally improved the fortunes of every club he's managed, he just never seems to stay very long.
And he’s an annoying ****He fell out with the Goole board didn’t he? Also pretty sure Gainsborough sacked him. Happy to be proven wrong, just think it’s an odd suggestion that he’d be in for the Scunthorpe job. I’d have thought Adkins would be in the running.
