Don't see us getting into the top four from here, just like in games we need to be frontrunners and open up a gap to defend, we don't have the firepower and experience that the teams around us have to force our way back above them from a deficit. I mean if all but one of our rivals completely fall to pieces that would be nice, but don't see it. Not ruling it out, but our chances are very low now.

That being said, we've still done excellently and no complaints for me, people shouldn't lose sight of where we started from. I rate the Europa League as lowly as anyone and in the context of modern football I think getting into the CL would have been one of the clubs all-time greatest achievements, but let's not forget we've only had the slightest taste of European football in the last 30 years, to turn our noses up at the EL would be daft I feel. Don't mean to sound definitive as if the season is already over, but we should still be cherishing the success of this season rather than mourning what could have been if things don't quite end up in the dream scenario.

I do have but I'm also a realist, we've punching above our weight due to having an impotent attack when pelle isn't firing.
I would love to be positive, we just need a midfielder to drill one from 25yrds. I was convinced snidders was going to put in the fk in top corner from 25 yrds, but yet again we overplayed and gave up yet another good opportunity

We were desperately unljucky today - if the ref was fair, and even, we'd have been in with a chance.

Although we lost, we were not greatly outplayed today...in fact I bet we could count the games we have been outplayed this season on one hand and still have 2 fingers left to greet Rodgers. As we all know, we are just not scoring. There is still little in it...we just have to come out of the doldrums. The odd win will change everything as other teams are dropping points as well.

Nope. We're only a point behind United and 2 behind Arsenal. [HASHTAG]#keepbelieving[/HASHTAG]

Spot on Tom, if we were one point off of safety would we give up?
The players and coaching staff won't be giving up, that's for sure!. We only have four out of the top eleven left to play and only Citeh have truly outplayed us this season. We should have Ryan and Toby back for the next game and Morgan and Big Vic should start. Another factor is our away form, which has been superb since this year started.

As Lamby puts it, keep the faith and keep giving the lads the support that they deserve, this will still be a special season no matter what happens from now.

Fran - Liverpool were outplayed; they just out scored us..... Unfortunately :(

I still believe. My belief has always been held with a finger on the realistic button, but I left the ground with a little more belief. I can't explain why, but maybe people will right is off again (!) and this could just be the spur we need.

Beat Poch's lit to secure top four! :)
