They must have a lot of stock to be selling off goods well below cost with a couple of months of the season still to go, you'd expect these sort of reductions after the season had finished.

I think these recent sales have been even more generous than the ones they usually do after the season ends.

ordered a jacket yesterday, just chased it up so i could collect tonight and told it could be up to 10 days!
i appreciate there will be a lot of orders, but asda can pick a full shop with a few hours notice FFS , .

So if the jacket is at a sale price and they are having to order it in it's not only the unsold stock they are selling off. Why would they keep stock far away?

Wonder if they have supply/manufacturing contracts to honour?

The stock won't be far away, they'll just be getting a lot of orders and giving themselves plenty of time to get through them (though that is a very long time to get on top of them).

The person who creates concept shirts and had elements of one of his designs used for the away kit seems to think we are staying with Kappa, I'm guessing he's doing more work with the club for the upcoming season.

Not really
I was picking up youth shirts and trackie tops for £8 each at the end of last season
Still very reasonable but no cheaper than last year

I’ve actually really liked the Kappa designs on the whole so keen for it to continue.

I think this season’s were good but last season’s were horrible. The home kit wasn’t recognisably a City shirt from the back as it was all black. This season’s shirt with the black and amber stripes on the front and back with white lettering and numbers looks miles better. The quality last season was terrible too.

I wouldn’t mind if we stayed on with Kappa. I’d like to see a home kit that’s mostly amber with black pinstripes similar to the 09/10 home shirt with black shorts and socks. There’s only so much you can do with black and amber stripes so switching it up a bit every now and then would be fine.

Yeah, the designs are decent enough, I would just like the quality to be a bit better and to stop with the weird badge placements etc.

I think last years home kit is the only one out of the 6 we’ve had that I’ve really not been a massive fan of though.

Last seasons away was great as an all amber kit - with The Tigers written on. Liked the blue kit too.

This seasons home is a very decent standard striped kit, away is excellent and I know it’s an unpopular opinion but I really like the third kit this year (it’s my favourite of the 3 actually).

Quality wise I think there’s been issues (that have been fixed unless I’m mistaken) but as a hit rate I think it’s pretty good. Appreciate opinions on it will be subjective.

You can't reduce things by up to 90% without making a significant loss, the £108 puffa jackets are £15, £62 track tops are £10, even the home shirt (which you'd expect to be the easiest thing to shift) has almost 75% off.

It's obviously below cost as your rightly saying, guess the club would rather lose £5 then £10 though and get the stock sold

I’d just like a manufacturer that makes kits that don’t feel like they’re going to fall apart in a strong breeze.

Personally, I’d like a return to Admiral based on their recent output. Their retro range is beautiful and I’m really hoping they look at a City collection at some point.

This is something they’ve done for Coventry lately:

And a rerelease of one of their vintage Leicester shirts:

Their current generic team templates are pretty basic, but they feel simple and well balanced compared to Kappa:
