I think Williamson gets a lot of unnecessary stick from NUFC fans. Remember we had one of our best runs (both defensively and in terms of results) whilst he was in the side.

I think he does a solid unspectacular job. But it is risky having only him as cover when Saylor has yet to prove he is just unlucky not injury prone.

Personally I think there has been some great players moving. Giroud, Vertonghen, Cazorla, Dempsey, Hoilett, Rodwell, RVP, Hazard, Marin, Sigurdsson are all cracking players. However I don't feel one shred of jealousy. I am simply very content with our little project and the players we have signed. I like the idea of our young players getting to fill some of the squad roles and progressing. Personally I am excited to see Abeid, BigiSmalls, Fergie and Campbell etc make their way in the game.

Big name signings and transfer are great fun but I think our methods make you buy in as a supporter that little bit more. Add to that the signings of players like Anita, a proven international class player for sensible fees and its just a great time to be a supporter of our great club.

I couldn't agree more. It might be the accountant in me, but the idea of being successful whilst living within our means, making shrewd intelligent signings rather than crazy overpriced gambles, and most importantly getting players in who want to play for us rather than play for the silly money Fat Fred used to throw about really appeals. Danny Simpsons payrise isn't big enough? Go play for someone **** who'll give you more...

Williamson is a good option to have as he is fantastic in the air. I was at the game against Botlon that you mention Warm Pouch and Bolton matched us for 65min, but Williamson mopped up brilliantly taking everything in the air.

He is a great player to have as an option as Pards likes to pick a team for the opposition. He will come in handy for West Ham and Stoke this season.

I think Good is the back up because as you say its tought to keep 4 top CB's happy they obviously cant all play.

ALso think Perch deserves more credit. The performance he gave against Liverpool last season was awesome mopped up everything. Has very good vision to intercept the pass.

Strangely enough I feel Saylor is more dominant in the air than Willo.

Although being big he has no real conviction with he aerial battles especially against smarter strikers, whereas Saylor has a 'run through brick wall' approach to getting his noggin on it

Don't get me wrong I'm happy enough havng the lanky bean as cover though :)

Would like a young striker brought in though as well as cover CB, big ask I know but now is the time we can attract players so make use of it !

Jordan Rhodes - Then loan him back to Huddersfield or a Fizzy pop club with a recall option should the unthinkable happen and Senegal turn Ivory Coast over.

For a striker, Paul Taylor from Peterborough. Extremely hard worker, quick, great finisher, strong if not powerful, low wage demands, available for a couple of mil as he's transfer listed. And Graham Carr has seen him, he sat a few rows behind me at a Posh game.
