The opposite of the Labour party. Seriously we cannot support the population we have now. We have not absorbed the ever increasing record numbers of migrants we have taken in over decades. Labour should freeze all non essential immigration. Introduce skills based immigration. Leave the EHRC.
My worry with that would be the population split we have means we don’t have enough younger working age people to support the number of older retired pensioners. Also older people are more of a drain on the NHS/care system, wouldn’t stopping younger working immigrants be cutting off our nose to spite our face ?,

In relation to asylum seekers don’t we have an obligation to take genuine ones? & i can’t see us leaving the EHRC either tbh.

We’ve given refuge to around 500,000 Ukrainians and rightly so, they were genuinely running for their lives, and a lot will likely wish to go home when the war is over.
Under the Tories and Labour we will never leave the ECHR
Being granted asylum in this country should be a privilege afforded to very few
It should not be expected and taken for granted that simply turning up here will result in you staying
The country is already woefully over populated thanks to the crazy policies of Mr Blair without the skilled people and infrastructure to support millions more than was ever needed or wanted

The UK has enough people to run the NHS and care services. Twenty five years ago the NHS and social care did not require mass migration of the scale it is now. We do not train enough nurses and GP's. We fail as a nation to invest in our domestic work force. The enormous numbers of immigrants entering the UK are not skilled Nurses and GP's, the majority are the unskilled.

Yes the UK has an obligation to people seeking asylum legally. The illegal immigration act bars those entering the UK illegally from refugee protection. Labour appears to intend scrapping the illegal immigration act. The overwhelming majority of the 1.2 million people here illegally are not asylum seekers.

2 months is too early to judge. Obviously no one could clear up 14 years of mismanagement that quickly - we are in a mess.

I disagree about Reform, when pushed they don’t have any answers or policies either, Not serious thought out ones. Time will tell, but I think they’ll disappear without a trace. We’ll see.
We all know you are fixated as a lot of people are about the the results after 2010 it is all the Tories fault blame it on them.................

In 2022 labours Rattlesnake made this comment, which was then facy checked ... [ bear in mind Labours blackhole of 2010 was £820,000,000,000! ] ....

In her speech at the Labour party annual conference today, shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves claimed that the Conservative government has failed to reduce the debt and deficit during its 12 years in power.

She said: “Have they even got the debt and deficit down? No … It’s 12 years of failure.”

Fact checked and verified
It’s true that UK public sector debt—the amount of money owed by the government, measured as a percentage of the size of the economy (GDP)— has increased from 62.4% of GDP in the 2009/10 financial year to 95.5% of GDP in the 2021/22 financial year.
However, the change in the deficit— which refers to how much more, each year, the government spends than it brings in through things like taxes— is more complex.
According to the .......... Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR), in 2009/10, before the Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition government came to power, the deficit stood at 10.1% of GDP.
Over the course of the following decade this figure fell, reaching a low of 2.0% by 2018/19 b
efore increasing to 14.4% in 2020/21 during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The latest full year of data from 2021/22 put the deficit at 6.1% — four percentage points lower than when the Conservatives entered government in 2010.

It’s reckoned there are at least a million more than the latest figures suggest for people who arrive here illegally and simply disappear to friends/family who are already here
It’s staggering

Reform may not have the answers but people are desperate for any party who will at least acknowledge there is a massive issue and for years this has been a serious breach of our national security
As for 2 months, it was apparent after just 2 days how naive the Labour Party are and what a hypocrite the prime minister is

In 1997 I voted for a political party that became the government.

From 1997 to 2010 the Blair/Brown Government saw more people come into the Country than had come into the Country since the battle of Hasting. More people came into the UK in thirteen years than nine centuries. When Blair/Brown were replaced the Tories doubled Labour's achievement.

Some people could call that an invasion.

The difference being that in previous times, invasions were repelled wherever possible.

The Vikings and the Normans weren't welcomed with free toothbrushes, a mobile phone and a 4 star hotel ! People back then had more common sense than to welcome people they didn't know and were rightly wary of.

And despite all the liberals fainting with shock and horror a year or so ago, Suella Braverman was 100% correct.

It is an invasion, and it remains so. People who think otherwise are in denial.

A monster invasion i would say.

And now even more shocking news about recently released prisoners.

If there are no tags, or there is a shortage of them, then don't release serious offenders ffs ! These people shouldn't even be on the streets regardless of whether or not there are tags !

What an absolute joke. Things are getting worse under this bunch of half-wits by the day

Several offenders released on licence said they had not been fitted with an ankle tag - with one describing it as "a disaster waiting to happen".

One probation officer said the delays in them being fitted appeared to be due to a shortage of tags, while the Ministry of Justice said it was due to a backlog of former prisoners.

The MoJ blamed security contractor Serco - which manages the prison tagging system - for the delays. Serco said it was working to reduce the numbers waiting for tags.

Prisons minister Lord Timpson is having what the MoJ described as an urgent meeting with Serco about the issue later this afternoon.

More than 1,700 prisoners were let out early in England and Wales last week as part of the government's scheme to address overcrowding in prisons.

The justice secretary said this had prevented the prison system from reaching maximum capacity and "a total breakdown of law and order".

But the scheme has been criticised as risking public safety, while not all victims were made aware of their offender's early release date.

Offenders jailed for violent offences with sentences of at least four years, sex offenders and domestic abusers were not eligible for early release, the government has said.

Our borders aren't safe, areas of certain cities aren't safe for white English folk as signs tell people to stay out, and our streets in general aren't safe.

Still, lock up a few more people for the crime of mean/ill advised tweets, while dangers to the public are allowed to roam free, without even an electronic tag to determine their whereabouts and what they are up to !

Now the head of the Metropolitan Police, Mark Rowley, is saying that anyone who says there is Two Tier policing is far right
Another person in a position of absolute power who is totally out of touch and in denial with what’s really going on in this country

All kicking off in Ireland again with anti immigration protests
Lots of arrests as you’d expect for fed up Irish nationals who’ve also had enough of this situation
