There is an awful lot of dispondent Labourites out there that feel really let down by the actions of the top 3 three [PM +2 ] accepting all they have done after Kamikaze spent a few hours at the dispatch box sleighting off the previous .Gov for accepting gifts! indeed 1 reference is he harped on about the wall paper until Boris left ... now he has excelled by accepting "more" in just a few short weeks ... one word used profusely by those interviewed is hypocrite ...well that and hindsight is his trade mark .... " a veiled "in hindsight" comment admitted his wrong doing! "

takeaways from Labour Wooo Haaaaa ..... AR 's opening speech
narrative ......... The party’s trying to shift the narrative on to the territory they’re keen to talk about – what they’ve already done in government! <<<----- [ notes ..........allowed more boats and granny bashed ]

She [ deputy dog ] says it's time for "no more talking, but doing" and reiterates Labour's plans to "kickstart GB energy" and nationalise railways

Labour will "get Britain building" and proposes a "new planning framework", according to Rayner. It will "unlock the door to affordable homes and provide the biggest boost to social and affordable housing in a generation," she adds

    move power out of Whitehall!

The Employment Rights Bill [presented to Parliament next month, ] she says will "make work more secure". " banning "exploitative zero hour contracts" and "bringing basic rights from day one on the job"

Like any government they will be judged at the end of their term.

The last government failed to deliver on their promises, some make excuses, pandemic, Ukraine etc, the electorate didn’t buy their excuses.

This government will be judged in the same way, if they want to win it they’ll have to demonstrate they’ve delivered. It’s really that simple.

Had the last government actually been conservative, they would have walked the election and we wouldn’t have 4 and 3/4 years of further misery to look forward to

The key in your phrase is misery, it is absolutely spot on MISERY. However the feelgood factor was extinguished in a extremely short period of time because between GE 2019 and Covid was only a matter of month's ! The population never had a time to celebrate the success of their sacrifices of 8 -9 years of Austerity.
They say "never tell lies unless you are one of the unique people who have a memory that can remember ALL the untrue facts" .

Today AT THE Labcon, in the orchestrated applause and ovations [ there is always these plants in the audience to stimulate reactions ] we saw both lies and hypocritical comments! The so called £22bn black hole [ actually at this moment in time is only £13bn because the other £9bn is the result of money not yet collected, and will be attributed additional income from the up to July4th LINE, ITS TO HELP TOWARD THE FUNDING to fund the things that the £22bn is supposed to cover.
Labour wont have a prosperous continuation of the economy/ growth that is / has been happening until July 2024. BEAR IN MIND figures like inflation/ interest/ gdp/ economy are published 3 - 4 months later than they represent!
Housing Market........ since the energy crisis £trn's of building products have been in short supply ...what didnt help was Covid BUT THAT WAS A POSITIVE, 000's people used the time and the fact they couldnt really spend a lot of their income so did Home improvements and supplies were seriously run down.. then energy crisis and prices rocketed [ one instance was roof tiles, local to me a person had paid £7500 to have roof done [ only paid deposit apparently ] waiting time in early 2022 was stated at 3-4 month's good ! because chance weather better. Finally done in summer of 2023 at cost of £14,000!
Another friend retired as he was a building site manager and work dried up because lack of materials all a very miserable time March 2020 till March 2024, and it started getting better ..................... but the damage was 4 years of misery takes longer than a few months to wear off! ...................................................

ps ..... ONE OF THE BREAD CRUMBS DROPPED TODAY! ..... Tories passed over £2bn from the current house building department! .. more than enough to pay the heating bills!

Puppets rising up against their masters! ... maybe they believe that they dont need their funding as the amount of freebies already indicate they night have donors in 2029 to fund the GE?

A debate and (non-binding) vote on reversing the winter fuel allowance cuts will seemingly not take place at the Labour conference today.
The announcement was met with boos in the conference hall in Liverpool this morning.
Lynne Morris, who chairs the conference arrangements committee (CAC), said: "This is a really busy conference and we are trying to accommodate as much as we can, and I'm going to take this back straight to CAC and I'll come back to you with an answer ASAP."
Unite and the Communication Workers Union (CWU) had put forward motions which were due to be debated on Monday afternoon.
Rachel Reeves told LBC this morning: "If delegates want to vote on this, they will get a vote on this.
"I don't know the timing of the vote, but we've already had a vote in Parliament where it was overwhelmingly passed."...........

Some unions have expressed anger and one union source says that "it’s an attempt to silence union voices on the matter" - and some wonder if the vote will actually take place at all.
Mick Whelan, boss of rail union Aslef, said: "We are disappointing that this motion has been moved and we don’t understand why."
United general secretary Sharon Graham said: "Right now it is fair to say that the Labour leaders have tried to silence the voice of pensioners, workers and communities at party conference, in this blatant manoeuvre to block debate on winter fuel cuts and the departure towards Austerity Mark 2.

"When this becomes widely known there will be real anger among everyday people. Real Anger."

Don’t forget they also silenced a lot of people protesting against this unlimited immigration in the Summer by jailing them and making political prisoners out of them

On the economy, Rachel Reeves asks conference why Britons have put their trust in Labour "for the first time in five general elections?"

............. the answer was because 6-8 million people didnt vote [ mostly the now opposition party ]

HERE WE GO offered 5.5% and seen doctors get at least treble that as did ASLEF .............. downside there is far more than the total number of both these benefactors there are over 600,000 and Labour have promised more another 30,000! AVE NURSES PAY = £40,000 SO 5.5% = £1,320,000,000 ANOTHER 30,000 would add £1,260,000,000

Nurses in England have voted to reject the government's offer of a 5.5% pay rise, the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has said.
At that time, Prof Leader said: “We do not begrudge doctors their pay rise.
“What we ask for is the same fair treatment from government.”

they are trying to bury everything under the guise of "last 14 years" =========== the truth is the last 14 years was unique had Covid and Energy dented economy by £trn's and Labour is spouting out about a few £bn's

they are making it up as they go along NO PLANS.... greedy cabinet ..... if truth was known still looking for the same money tree Gordon was looking for!

Something has to give the cronyism of the past 4 years has to be thwarted ........ Is YC going to speak?

"Hi fellow labourites nice to speak to you at our 2024 conference" ........... uuuuuuuuuummm we have a plan but more about that later .... we will soon run out of hotels at £90 a night to keep the the illegals I have welcomed here, we deport 1 and 500 replace them ... as part of our [ "blame philosophy" ] its not us, it is / it was them, we now blame the French for letting them use their beach's to launch their boats and ..........

I watched Reeves 'interrogation' by Madely and Reid on GMTV this morning.
Reeves was not allowed to put out her usual diatribe blaming the previous lot.
They kept interrupting her saying 'we know all that, please answer our question'.
'How do you justify ridding pensioners of a winter fuel payment and accepting freebies, clothing, concert, football and other sport tickets, trips to New York etc etc........you were elected promising to end sleaze'.

By nature they have thick skins but rarely have I seen a politician so browbeaten and embarrassed.

    Excellent !
Rayner called the Tories scum, but she, 2 Tier, Reeves and Lammy need to have words with themselves, because if ever the cap fitted it’s they who are scum and unashamedly greedy with it
I see the nurses have rejected a 5.5% pay rise
    I’m sure they’ll soon be offered 30%

the biggest problem is when in opposition they were constantly blindsided by actual events...[ note one of the main things affecting Lorry drivers/ distance drivers is tunnel vision! ] they see a point / event/ crisis/etc up the road and had a predetermined response... hence when it was past or happening it became hindsight!
It distracted them from actually thinking, or planning to combat or to assist.hence the constant search for attacking material on individuals and not on the need to parliamentarians ...On the 5th July 2024 they suddenly found themselves gifted into the real world and all their "even if it makes sense we are against it mindset " still ruled the roost.

did you see the heckler a young person making a statement in response to a Rattlesnake comment over powered and dragged from the arena by 5? 6? 7? burly men and her well rehearsed one liner and a smug grin after delivering it.. only thing missing was a rattle and couple tongue pokes!
