So it may be irrelevant if he signs before Saturday or not
He's a fit 19 year old, I don't think would have any qualms about sticking him straight on the bench.

Are we to assume the Hammill deal is looking unlikely?
Fingers crossed then
Bench of Dudgeon, Brady, Cooper, Garcia, King
What about Mclean and Simpson?
That's a point - We'll have Fryatt, Simpson, Mclean and King, with only a five man bench nowadays.
Fryatt's the top scorer, McLean scored last game, Simpson set up a goal despite being on the pitch for about 30 seconds, and King obviously is a new signing we'll want to use.
Barmby won't drop Garcia from the bench so one of those four won't make the bench.
I'm 4 pages behind on this and not sure how the Feeney/Henry situation is going but the Millwall midfielder who destroyed us last season (twice) was Liam Trotter. I'd snap him up in an instant.

I'd love it to be Trotter, but I've not heard his name mentioned at all.
question: is Josh King actually signing? is it on loan or a permanent?
With Jack Hobbs able to play in goal, maybe Nick will not name a GK on the bench. Just 5 outfielders.
FFS Hobbs isn't a keeper. OLM said Hobbs would have been the candidate to go in goal if Basso got injured against Derby, that doesn't mean Hobbs can actually play there.
