Aye...I was trying to highlight the Borini disappointment, nothing else.
He, Poyet, all through this Borini saga, has tried countless times to hint to the fans, without giving away what was holding up the 'DEAL' that he still thinks (at the time) that he will sign in time. He gave the impression that despite these problems, they would still land him, saying, "there is still work to be done"...and " We are still trying very hard".
Every time he was asked he had a glint in his eye as though he knew something. That told me that although it was a complex deal, it was attainable. I believe his agent has shafted Poyet with a web of lies and deceit etc etc
So when I say I want to see an interview with Poyet, I want that question asked again to read his body language...I believe Poyet isn't just disappointed because he didn't land his man, I believe he is furious with the way he has been lied to and the way he has been treat, for about 8 weeks.
Other than that. Poyet and the backroom staff deserve a huge pat on the back for their efforts !
Fair enough kidda. The Borini non transfer has overshadowed a very good window IMO and has shown the player up to be a deluded, money grabbing mercenary not Gus or the club in a bad light. I think we dodged a massive bullet now having heard the stories and read his bizarre tweets post window.
Every single new signing this summer can and will contribute to the first team, not ones for the future and that's a marked change to last summer. Great work by Gus, Congleton and the clubs hierarchy.
