Well - I confess I was amongst the more sceptical when he arrived - how glad I am that he proved he is the MANAgree with everything you have written on it Chris - I do not like to see people used in this way. I truly hope McKinlay finds another job soon - who knows we may have got him a good job at Fulham.
Good point about the Watford Way Gordon. However us fans know what we believe is the Watford Way - GT started it and the fans adopted it and have held largely true - even through the likes of Bassett, Petchey and Bas.
Against this background and with a none too impressive CV, Joker had better perform well from Day 1 - he has an excellent squad and needs to use it. I hope he succeeds.
Nice to be proved wrong sometimes (very infrequently) though isn't it?! I dare say lots of us could be eating humble pie over things we said this season!Well - I confess I was amongst the more sceptical when he arrived - how glad I am that he proved he is the MAN
This was the best.Nice to be proved wrong sometimes (very infrequently) though isn't it?! I dare say lots of us could be eating humble pie over things we said this season!
Believe me, Staines, I worked that out four glasses agoWe're guaranteed top 2
I was thinking more of what might happen if he was still in charge next season. They just interviewed him on Sky - and he was truly shell shocked. He clearly did not expect results to go our way today and was still so focussed on the match against Sheffield next week.
The great thing about getting promotion like this is it gives you quite a few extra weeks to plan for the next season. When you go up through the play offs you cannot start until after Wembley.
