Say this for the Pozzos- they move quickly and strike like cobras.
Could Gino play up front until TD is back?
Could Gino play up front until TD is back?

Hmmm, I disagree with a lot of the comments on here...
1. Sannino always seemed out of his depth, and was not inspiring the team.
2. Garcia was the manager they wanted, they didn't exactly fire him...
3. From my POV, McKinlay was brought in to cover whilst Garcia was off, and would have been a useful member of the coaching staff when he returned.
4. Billy was sacked/wanted to leave for Fulham, I don't think we know for sure yet?
The only person they have definitely treated harshly was Dyche, and that was a long time ago....
His 'winning pedigree' refers to successfull stints in Serbia and Thailand - which is apparently of more worth than having 6-7 years coaching experience at Fulham. Basically they are saying 'we do not want a British manager' under any circumstances. They have built up a cupfull of goodwill with us Hornets - close to the top of our league, a new stand and financial security. But my 'cup' is draining fast.
Agree with much of that Toby - I am glad Sannino went -but should he ever have been appointed. too lightweight?
Garcia looked an impressive appointment - and just bad luck for all that he became ill - no reflection on the Pozzos there
but.... if as you say McKinlay was brought in as "cover" his title would have been "Caretaker" manager - and it was not. Would he have resigned his NI job in those circumstances? No - that was a definite Pozzo error of judgment.
Statements from Watford/ Pozzos have now made it clear that he was dismissed and did not want to leave.
To me the Pozzos have been great for our club. We have had some exciting years already, seen some great football and experienced many more highs than lows. They have sorted out the ground - a massive plus.
On managers they just have a European mentality - hire and fire as quickly as you like - get results or get out. I do not like that philosophy much but who anm I to argue with a family who have been very successful in their football endaevours in Italy and Spain.
The message to anyone thinking of accepting a manager's job with us though has to be "Cave Pozzo"
We now have Leicester idiots crawling over our board![]()

I presume he has to win 2 games in a row otherwise his role will be under threat.
A very messy situation even by our standards.
Good luck to the new man!
He might need it...
Well it was more in jest (if you mean the last line?)
A bad run of results and he might be out the door!?
1. You can't know that for sure.
2. That's just not true, Sannino would have been fired long before the season started if that was the case, Zola too when we failed to get promoted.
There are many worse owners in England, and I honestly can't think of any others I'd want to swap the Pozzos for.
1 You are right of course - none of us KNOW details of others affairs but if you were a betting man would you bet that someone who was given a caretaker role (that could last only a short while if the "main man " got fit quickly) wouold give up a long term NI position that he held. He did not resign it when appoointed to his original role - we have been told he had to resign it to take up the manager's role. I tend to go on balance of probablilities.
2 Agree in part again - they are not quite as fast to hire and fire as some and in both the cases you mention they did appear to stay their hand for a while. However we do not know how long they were looking for replacements; Sannino was fired with us in second place which suggests either they had been lining up a replacement and finally got him or that they did react with a knee jerk to a dressing room situation. Either way I stand by my point that those actions appear to me to be more close to a European style of ownership where managers come and go as opposed to the old fashioned British style where it often took a long time fo rsomeone to be replaced - I accpet of course there are many exceptions to this "rule"

A rather good fans view of the goings on.
