If/when he is found guilty we will have no choice but to terminate his contract.

Given he's probably our most saleable asset could the club sue him to effectively recoup potential lost transfer fee?

Is there any precedence for this in sport?

Interesting thought but totally spurious .......... this case is thinner than an anorexic supermodel.

IMO the club should reinstate him and support him to the hilt.

If the silly words of a young fantasist are allowed to ruin the career of a family man, with a baby, then the world's gone entirely mad.

Don't know about this individual case but you have to think about the current climate i.e. Rotherham/Rochdale with child abuse - the slightest sniff of anything regarding underage sex is going to get the authorities "playing it by the book".

I see what you're saying.

However, picking schoolgirls up in taxis from the school gates, raping them, then selling them around dozens of men is one thing.

Whatever AJ is involved in is something entirely different, no matter what it is.

If he's guilty then, as a father, I'll despise him for eternity.
If he's not then he'll have my support as would any player.

Agree entirely - but what I am trying to say is (and this goes for anyone in the public sector) the man at the top says "s**t" and 500,000 arseholes take the strain -if that makes sense

I understand the concept but, as I've always only took care of myself, struggle to understand that mentality.

For me, honesty & integrity are way above anything pc or memo-worthy.

For me too but for some its about arse covering and you have to remember these c**ts in parliament want to pretend to the electorate that they are solving "problems" especially in an election year

His trial has been put back to February. Of course people will say it's gathering more evidence and putting a case together, they have had long enough now and will surely have the main evidence. Not always, but it is generally a good sign for the accused when this happens.

I'm half expecting it to be kicked out before it gets to court now. Just a feeling I've got, that's all.

put back til February. As you say, surely if they had something concrete on him, he'd be up in court and it'd be done and dusted?

Hopefully, we'll be safe by February as well :emoticon-0136-giggl

She'll be 16 by February lol.

This is absolutely the worst time for a trial for us. After the January window and could be going into the last 3 months wwithout our best player.
