It happens all the time, not enough evidence for a criminal court, but enough for a civil court.

They really have hammered him though, I didn't expect they'd come down so heavy on him.

It will be a long a time before someone mentions colour on the pitch again, which is almost certainly the reason for the severity of the punishment.
 
JT has 14 days to appeal once he has received a copy of the written findings. Will he appeal the punishment ?

JT is free to play until he decides what to do. (Ban and Fine suspended for now).

At least its only a weeks wages for JT.
 
He was charged for bringing the game into disrepute, specifically with regard to this rule...

In the event of any breach of Rule E 3(1) including a reference to any one or more of a person’s ethnic origin, colour, race, nationality, faith, gender, sexual orientation or disability (an “aggravating factor”), a Regulatory Commission shall consider the imposition of an increased sanction.
 
Statement from Terry's management company - "Mr. Terry is disappointed that the FA Regulatory Commission has reached a different conclusion to the clear not guilty verdict of a court of law. He has asked for the detailed written reasons of the decision and will consider them carefully before deciding whether to lodge an appeal."
