Be a great red nose day event, a charity auction to blast Barton's bollocks. Reckon there would be a fair few bidders like.

Fair point and one I hadn't considered. How about a raffle instead? £1 a ticket, winner gets 60 seconds to see how many times they can knee Barton in the cock.

I get double the texts off Peterborough fans than I do Newcastle fans when we lose. Even when their own team slip up.
Remember being out in a pub in the town last season before they had a home game, went out for a tab and there were a group of chavs singing anti Sunderland songs. We weren't even playing that day ffs. Bizarre.

I've never met a Peterborough fan. Do they actually have more than a couple of thousand?

Most of those who go are people filling in time waiting for their passport application to be processed tbh.

The rest are Polish sugar beet pickers, weirdo fen dwellers and Londoners who've sold a tiny flat and bought an 8 bedroom house with 50 acres of worthless land.

If the club ceased to exist I doubt anyone would notice ...

... the most famous person ever born in Peterborough is Aston Merrygold <laugh>

Was working down that way and was catching the train back up North on a Saturday when the job ended. Went in a Wetherspoons for a meal before the train journey and had my SAFC track suit top on work bag, roller pole etc. Anyway Peterboro' were playing Gillingham at home that day and I can safely say the pub was like that one in Star Wars as between them the "Posh" and Gillingham fans in there they are the weirdest looking bunch of misfits I have ever seen in my life. Loads of comments about my tracksuit top and how they thought we were too big for our boots etc (jealousy pure and simple), then the same freaks came back later asking me to sell them cocaine! When I informed them that not only did I not sell class a drugs but I also didn't use them they looked at me as if I was simple <laugh>
