No I'm just a not a complete soft twat who wants football to become none contact. In the thrusts of a physical encounter and sporting situation, sometimes because of the adenalin, it will spill over. It happens most weeks in every football game. With your reasoning we'd be playing 9 and 10 aside games every week across the country. It matters not, grabbing someone in an aggressive manner in football is a yellow card offence.
Its funny there is no such furore when other teams players do it like say Rio Ferdinand. Didn't our own Danny Simpson do something similar with Hernandez last year? Funny there was no furore then either. Too much reading The Sun and The Star methinks!

You're right. If it were Joey Barton v a Sunderland XI it'd probably end up a bore draw. Luckily we have ten other quality players, each a match for anything you lot have to offer. Should be a good game but Barton isn't the only one you should be worrying about.

Indeed we did. We'll just sit quietly again and see what happens. We're just the North East's little 2nd club afterall according to our Mackem friends, so we really shouldn't expect to get much. Thrown we are certain for relegation (you guessed it, again our mackem friends tell us) and if we beat them they should sack the manager, the board and all their players. They'll never learn.
Ah hence my earlier comments, I was sure I'd seen Rio react badly a few times to dives, getting in their face and dragging them up.
