If he didn't go down like that nothing would have been done to Gervinho <doh> Which he deserved to get red for, for that slap.
 
Gervinho dived 3 times by my count, and JB was sick of it. Yellow card for dragging his shirt up but if him going down from the slap winds you up I suggest you dont watch any La Liga games.
 
It would appear we're not the only ones who think he has done no wrong. The FA have chosen not to sanction Joey and the police haven't been round to arrest him. Given he was not wrong (apart from agressively picking him up which he was rightly yellow carded for), why would we admit he is wrong? He's a good lad these days. He'll see you on Saturday.

Every geordie ive spoke to since this happened has tried to defend him and its pathetic!

Thats my point!

Gervhinio did go down easily but there was contact and we see this week in week out, not saying its right but it happens!

What Joey Barton did was aggressive and uncalled for and i can not believe he stayed on the pitch!

No one is defending Barton. What he did was wrong.

All we're defending him against is the accusations that he should have got a red card and even a 3 game ban. It wasn't a red card offence. What Gervinho did, by the book, was.
 
Gervinho went down easy and hit Barton.
Barton did not hit Gervinho but went down easy to highlight he had been hit in the face.

Gervinho did worse than Barton, now drop it, its the most boring and unoriginal thing ever, to just slate every little thing Barton does.
 
Suarez went down like a sack of **** in our game everytime someone came near him but you dont see anyone grabing him by the shirt and pulling him up, it would have been a streight red!

Some people are saying just coz its Joey hes getting grief! Shouldnt he be trying to disspell his tainted past by not getting involved in these things rather then starting fights on the pitch then sobbing and saying its not his fault?

Actually, he acted within the rules of the game, if he got sent off for grabbing his shirt a minimum of 5 players would be sent off every game. Now shut up and **** off <ok>
