40 million ? when will nufc realise a striker has to be fast.

I feel sorry for him he's not good enough to do what rondon could ! he needs some chances created for him i think hes had 4 chances in 7 games and had t spend 89 minutes a game chasing the ball

4 chances in 7 games is some stat, if it it true then we can't really criticise him yet

Now we see just how useless the people are who make the transfer decisions.
Newcastle United have spent £60m on two players who simply cannot cope in the Premier League.
Joelinton & Almiron are pretty useless and you have to wonder how the club will move them on without taking a huge loss.
Almiron was starting to look decent under Rafa, the thing with Bruce is, he could have Messi, Ronaldo, Aguero and make them look like Shaun Goater.

Reactions: Munson.
Joelinton £40m, Almiron £21m, ASM £20m - it is almost as if Mike has gone out and spent money DELIBERATELY on players who aren't providing to prove a point. I genuinely think all three of them would do well at just about any other team in the league to be fair to them though.

A goalkeeper
Yeldin Schar Clarke Willems
Ritchie Shelvey Lejeune Saint-Maxim
Joelinton Carroll

See how he does with something like this for a couple of games.

Really depends how you are going to play him. I don't think Rondon was fast but he was effective at holding the ball up which suited the way Benitez wanted to play. Also meant that Perez had to get up as the nippier striker when Rondon had the ball. Problem is we don't really have anyone who is playing that number 10 role at the moment and I don't think Joelinton is the sort of striker who will hold the ball up. He really needs to be playing in a front 2.
