a bit like Jonjo too. Rafa didn’t use him properly or enough.. and he was **** and we wanted him out.
now he’s banging them in as out top scorer and he’s got the system which works to his strengths.
The difference between Carroll and JoeLinton is like night and day. Carroll wants to be involved, puts himself about and causes endless amounts of problems in both boxes. JoeLinton on the other hand just does not look ****ing interested one bit. I really hope the lad comes good and starts to build up some confidence but Carroll is making a very good case now for starting ahead of him.

He will certainly improve once he's more familiar with his surroundings but moving from Germany to England isn't exactly spanning the globe!
Joelinton just doesn't even look like he's got the potential to be a £40M player never mind actually contributing anything.

I actually think he did ok today personally ... better than most ... i dont think anyone had a good game matty and manq did ok
Manquillo was his usual self. Shame, as he was good last game. Longstaff and Joelinton were probably the least **** though
I think manq has been very good for some time , but i noticed willems and manq had no outlet today from 1 min to the last and it was this new system bruce brought in ..
they get no joy down our right.. manq would be the 1st player on my team sheet along with jonjo this season
Thought Joelinton was ok today.
Played Gayle through well when he should have scored then held up the ball well and laid it off for Longstaff to score. Didn't do too much after that but had **** all service/ball
Outside of that Manquillo did ok and Almiron. Central midfield started brightly but were overrun badly which probably cost us once we went behind.
No real leader/captain out there today either
