"As fans we are very patient."

Roy Hodgson may not agree. :)

Can't understand the tone of your post, Manciniiiii. Of course we wouldn't be pleased to lose a top player like Allen (if it happens) but for a club like us the money involved is a big deal. We have a history of living within our means and that will continue whilst we have this Chairman. As others have said, our past is littered with people who shone for us failing when they go elsewhere - not that I would wish that on anyone - and their replacements coming in and doing an even better job. I think that will continue.

Savvy 'lesser' clubs in the Prem like the Swans will forever be feeder clubs for the big boys and I don't have a problem for that so long as we continue to play football that is easy on the eye which is admired worldwide and thereby attract the right kind of players. <ok>

It does not matter who owned Siggy or Caulker, the fact is they helped you achieve 11th, next year they will not be there so you will be significantly weaker. Your better players have left. Some of your fans are suggesting that you will finish top 6, I am not sure if this is just banter or fuzzy thinking.

Premier survival would be my main target, and even that may prove to be very difficult indeed.

Siggy signed for us at the end of January, he played his part yes, but still half a season. Caulker came on a season long loan, he is a bigger loss I think. But if they weren't there playing we would have others. To say we are significantly weaker is speculation and you can't back up that with fact!

And who is saying we will finish top 6 ffs ? I have yet to see one swans fan who seriously thinks that, so quote me them on here. Premier league survival is our priority, but then it's yours as well, I have a bet that we will land up higher than you lot, I am predicting 9th for us and 10th for you. With Brendan sacked by Christmas .

It is just the attitude of the fans that puzzles me.

"Allen is going"

Swans fan: "oh great that is a good bit of money, we can buy some cheap foreigners and finish 5th"

You talk like a bunch of accountants, most fans would be absolutely gutted if there best player, a local lad was leaving the club. Strange bunch. Must be a Welsh thing?

You need to get your head out of the clouds, or it will be a long and uncomfortable season ahead.

Where are people saying that ? <doh> stop putting crap up on here, if he goes we will be gutted, and will replace him. We won't spend hugely replacing him as we don't operate that way!

And you just said sixth make up your mind ffs !

If you think Swansea will finish above Liverpool, then you are clearly highly deluded.

Yes and ? I didn't realise that we weren't allowed to be football fans with high expectations for our club <doh> I suppose you don't dream of winning the premier league? And by the way I have £25 to say we will land up above you. My last £25 bet won me £525 on laudrup being made manager. It's a speculative gamble. Good odds on Brendan being sacked though

Rodgers will survive the season. Liverpool will finish above Swansea.

Facts.

Really do you have a DeLorean parked on your driveway and your name is doc emmet brown ?

Facts ! Bollocks more like

Listen, I have a soft spot for the Swans, I am just trying to keep your feet on the ground. You will Thank me for this one day.<ok>

Right let's get real here one of Liverpool's signings cost nearly as much as combine price of our stadium and squad. We are NOT competing with them. We will definitely not finish higher than them. We are in a relegation battle no doubt. But that is to be expected considering out outlay and relative size of club. Most level headed swans fans with a bit of knowledge and understanding of the game understand this. What I'm intrigued by is why Liverpool fans feel the need to come on here and tell us how much we are going to struggle. You have already stolen our manager, assistant, some backroomers and now potentially one of our best players. What more do you want? Why are you letting what some of our more dillusional fan think about out expectations concern you. Surely you should be concentrating more on teams you are supposed to be competing with. Our is this a signal of your expectations?

Your fans camp on our board, which is great, but they are starting to make subtle digs. Just thought I would come on here and put the record straight<ok>

As I said, i wish Swansea all the best, genuinely, it would be great if we could send the likes of Suso, Sterling, Wilson, Flanagan, Shelvey, wee Jay etc etc out on loan to a team that play decent football.

Subtle digs ? So we got to put up with your big team looking down on our little team attitude on here and you expect nothing back ?

As for your youth players I can't see us going for any of them, last season with McEachran has taught us not to trust players to young and inexperienced to play in the premier league. Send them to championship teams to gain experience.

if we decide to throw you a few scraps, at least try and show some gratitude. Unbelievable arrogance.

I think there is a tendency to get carried away a bit but you can give us that, surely? We had a good season last time and this wasn't just due to Rodgers. Saying which team will finish higher so definitively is a bit premature but remember we were only a few points away from Liverpool last season.

I wouldn't be as pessimistic by saying we'll be in a 'relegation battle' either. The bottom line is that we don't know, but our recent history shows that we tend to bring in good, young managers who help us play the right way and buy gems at relatively low cost. Liverpool's recent history is one of decline, paying well over the odds for very ordinary players and sacking managers who don't get them into Europe. Now those are facts, like it or not.

Fans of big clubs coming on our board calling us arrogant is frankly a bit rich.

Rodgers will survive the season. Liverpool will finish above Swansea.

Facts.

Facts are not facts until they happen, until then they are speculative at best. Liverpool should finish above us this coming season, but then again, 19 other teams should have finished above us last season. according to the bookies & people "in the know". Our quest this season is, again to avoid relegation. Will we do it, I don`t know but I am starting to have a good feeling about this season.

I have no axe to grind with the `Pool, indeed I enjoyed their exploits in Europe. But, Rodgers has a lot of work on his hands if he is going to turn you into playing his "kind of football". He should be given the time & opportunity to try out his "beliefs". On the downside, your owners do not seem to have much patience with waiting, we`ll have to wait & see what happens.

There are very few Swans fans who want Allen to leave, but if he is determined to go, there`s no point in standing in his way, but the fee has to be right for us. Will we miss him, yes of course we will. We`ll also miss Caulker more than Siggy, but as has been said above, when players leave we usually find someone at least as good, if not better. Of course that will not always happen, but we do have a pretty good track record of doing so.

It will be interesting to watch how both our teams do this year but I`ll be flying the flag for my team

I would not say we are on the decline. On the up would be a more accurate description. This is one of those subtle digs I refer too.

They struggled to beat a poor cadiff side in a final last year , finished 4 points above us, brought in a new manager with limited tactical ability and have been dropping down the table over the last few years ,the top 6 clubs have been getting stronger. Our league table finish reflected our performances we won & lost when we deserved to . I have a respect for Liverpool as a club for all that they've acheived but I would like to think that as a club we do have targets to reach ,not did we survive in the PL but also showed that we could compete and not just make up the numbers .I'm realistic enough to know that survival is paramount if we want the club to grow but like anything in life once you've tasted the best you want more and better
