If Clarkson left the BBC, Hammond and May would soon follow and I'd expect to see Sky or UKTV bring them all in to continue Top Gear. It's too big a show to just end.

Though I don't mind James May and would like to see him stay with the Beeb. Some of his documentaries are quite good.

There's a Facebook campaign now as well...

I'm starting to get really bored of the whole thing.

Political correctness, my arse. As someone pointed out earlier today, "It's not 'politically correct' not to hit someone, it is legally correct."

I was just going to post something similar - how has this situation got anything to do with political correctness? I dont know how Clarkson has done it but he must be some kind of genius the way he has become a figurehead for battling the PC brigade and thought police when in reality he's an oafish ****faced twat.

465,000 'signatures'. Growing by 1000 a minute apparently.

If he has hit a guy he will have to go. Sky searching for the cheque book as we speak (allegedly).

The producer named is one Oisin Tymon. I blame director of tv Danny Cohen and DG Tony Hall.

The decison to pull the last 3 episodes of Top Gear is nonsense. The fans suffer most.

Any action on Clarkson could have waited until after March when the series ends.

Media saying today that Clarkson, Hammond and May were about to sign new contracts.
Interesting times indeed. Will this cash cow still be killed ? hhhmmmmm
