It gives a good indication that if you are top and 3 points clear of the play-off places after 24 games then you are in a good position for automatic promotion. What was the situation after 29 games which is where we will be before the end of January?Championship table Jan 2015...

Can't see anyone wanting to leave of their own accord, that would be mental, a winners medal and promotion on their cv would mean a lot more financially to them in the long run against a few weeks of higher wages at a new club.
Big Sam and Mo fell out at West Ham big time, the chances of Mo going to Sunderland specifically are nil!

If we go up, then there's only Elmo that I'd want to keep out of this 10, but we have Snodgrass to cover that position anyway

We are top so our players will be under scrutiny, anybody thinking nobody will leave is pretty naive to say the least (French Tickler).

Looking forward to January to see what other madness goes on elsewhere. It should be great fun watching.
Panic to stay in the PL and Panic to get into it. It may well be too late for a couple of PL clubs mind by Jan.
Why?

Points total for a start.
We could already have the 3 relegated clubs come May in situ already.![]()
Nobody is relegated in January. You only have to look at Leicester to see that. None of the teams are currently cut adrift and if they aren't then they'll be circling our players. There's just as much chance of us falling away as there is a team staying up, players know that and fans should too.
Admit defeat now, at least one player will leave in January!I am certainly not being naïve and obviously our players will create some interest as we are top of the championship. I doubt any of our players want to leave a promotion club for another relegation scrap.
However,
What is going on at the club now and the extreme desire to right last seasons relegation is massive.
I am happy to wait until the January transfer window closes on Feb 2nd 2016 when we can see who has got it right.![]()
