I struggle to see why people find it amusing I don't like the idea of signing injured players. Diomande's record for us speaks for itself.

I also don't like signing players who have lost their ability to the extent they've been shipped to the US, and are at an age where it is unlikely they'll recapture their best form, particularly when we're paying a fee at a time when we were tight for cash. Maloney's record for us speaks for itself.

If people want to bitch and moan about me becoming more of a WUM lately, perhaps they could reassess the points they've taken issue with in my posts lately.

Rabia was one of the worst players i have seen in a Sporting shirt. He only played in the B team and was still **** error after error.

Ssshhh

You'll upset the sega football manager hipsters who have never seen him play (although they'll still lay claim to having watched him play for Egypt u-19's against Tasmania u-12's or some such ****e) and profess his outstanding ability based on little more than a couple of numbers assigned to him by a video game developer.

Perhaps if you didn't see the world in such "black or white" terms, which frequently leads you to post sweeping generalizations, there would be less mirth generated. There are nuances out there.

Looks like all our promotion rivals have strengthened well in January, or looking likely to do some decent business.

As for us, we need another striker because we're seriously depleted if Hernandez gets injured. I hate Akpom's attitude when he plays.

I'm not particularly happy with playing a midfielder as a striker.

Don't think I've made any sweeping generalisations. As has already been pointed out, I was more than happy to see us signing Ryan Taylor, someone who is both over 30 and has a history of injuries.

I don't think you're a wum, I just think you're a stupid ****. But at least you don't trot round saying we should sign farty Phil from Land of nod fc or ilikethecream ofsumyungguy from Shanghai poodles u-10's.

If he's recently been injured, stay clear! Obviously a player can get injured at anytime but why bring someone in, whos getting over an injury? Why risk it?

Ofsumyungguy is banging them away for fun for The Poodles and would be an asset to the academy. However, I believe he'd have trouble getting a work permit as you have to have made several appearances for the national team.

Nick Powell is currently playing No.9 for Man Uinted U21's, presumably we've had him watched in his recent games and think he can do a job for us up front. It's disappointing, as he's obviously not an out and out striker, it's a pity we didn't go for James Wilson when we had the chance.

Warren Joyce said last month: "I know he played in midfield when he was younger. He is a good footballer he has got a lot to his game. Good feet, good range of passing, he is strong, he can head it, he can and he can score.

"There is a lot of things that can be utilised. It depends on the manager's choice as for him and the things you ask him to do.

"You can do a lot with him. He can lead the line, I've seen him play wide."

There's question marks over his attitude, following his poor loan at Leicester, but hopefully he's learned his lesson and feels he has something to prove.

I am happy to take Nick Powell on loan for the last 3 months of the season. I also accept what Warren Joyce has been quoted as saying. Powell is a talent for sure and can play a number of roles actually. Sadly his career has gone down hill somewhat but who knows until he is given a chance. 3 months is not that much anyway and is back up to what we have now. With very little available now - striker wise - we have to do what we can. The summer is another matter however.

The good news will be the less we spend now the more SB will have in the summer window Especially with PL Wonga.

Give Powell a chance. As for the rest of it............... who cares as long as he does what we want him to do.
