We dont need Nick Powell as he's a midfielder, Bruce seems to have a thing about playing midfielders up front, to the point it's getting frustrating now, maybe he's fears losing Diame as I read we are in talks with a striker (Bamford. Would be my guess)
And that just alienates the middle of the park further or has he got him in as cover for Maloney another bench warmer. You have to wonder where our scouts are if this is what we come up with...

I think he's maybe looking for a koren-esque player. doubt he will bring him that, he's obviously a fan of the lad! and Fergie has maybe said good things to Bruce about him. I watched him play for Man Utd earlier in the season, believe it was a cup game and he didn't do alot for me!

Powells contract ends in the Summer, will Man Utd. offer him a new one; debatable? The carrot therefore for Nick irrespective of peoples views is that he needs to knuckle down and prove himself over the next 3-4 months given I'm sure Brucey has talked potentially about a permanent contract from ourselves come the Summer subject to his performances etc. Not the out and out striker I was hoping for, but again if we are promoted the type and quality of a striker we can get would be better come the Summer rather than now. Lets hope Diomande becomes the missing piece of the jigsaw over the coming months; our dependency on Abel is worrying

Thanks for giving him a chance.
I am not saying this was you, but interesting now to recall how many were giving Hernandez so much abuse on here in the summer - he was useless, couldn't hit a barn door, etc, etc.

I wonder if those same people saw Abel make his debut against West Ham when he scored a couple, had a couple of near misses and hit the bar; he showed plenty of talent on his debut to suggest he had the ability and skill from the off. He may have been running on adrenalin that night but on a personal note was confident he would come good. What's happened in-between probably due to settling in a new country and until this season not getting picked regularly with the resulting impact on what confidence he had at the time

My dad's from Stoke. He took me to my first Hull City game when I was six, shortly after we started playing games at the KC. We were in the old Third Division at the time and finished mid table, Stoke were in the old First Division. I had a choice but instead of making bullshit excuses about 'family connections' I supported my home team and my dad took me as often as he could.

I'm from Leicester. My whole family up to the generation after mine is from Yorkshire, barring one cousin, and my immediate family (parents, grandparents) from East Yorkshire.

When I was but a toddler I was taken along to Hull City games, I was barely three years old. My local team was in the premier league winning trophies and playing in Europe, but I decided to carry on making up bullshit about family connections and supported the team languishing in division three I'd grown up supporting once I was old enough to make my own choice.

I'm such a plastic.

Powell will have been like any immature kid, Bruce wouldn't be after him if he has serious issues, I thought he was more of a striker than a midfielder but he must have a bit of quality

I'm from Beverley/Hull but might aswell have been from Leicester growing up as my parents hated football, thank god for my uncle who took me to City and when i was old enough started going with mates. It doesn't matter where you live or where you are from your team is your team, was reading about that City fan from Dartmouth? in the HDM today, good luck to the lad for picking us to support

Good luck indeed to the lad from Dartford; liked the kit so chose the mighty Tigers! That said six games in six years isn't going to help with Bruceys transfer kitty much :emoticon-0100-smile
