New contract , celebrating 1 year since he signed or maybe we're getting brasils national team
 
I simply cannot believe that we'll be sat here at the end of the window and not brought in a couple of high quality squad players. I just do not believe for a second that we sell Chris Wood and don't improve the squad with a replacement.

I'm not panicking or getting wound up about it, as I'm so convinced that we wouldn't be daft enough to sit where we are, and not be able to convince quality to join us based on our dealings 1 year ago.

Agreed! I’ll be surprised if there aren’t two incomings. A striker and a winger are the essentials.

Won't be panicking if we don't but agree it would be a strange one not to try and reinforce further but honestly think we have enough in the tank once ASM and Isak are starting games and others like Target, Krafth and Shelvey are back from injury to rotate the 6/7 decent player who can't get in to the starting line up and keep everyone fit and healthy.

CM we could do with better depth and another winger/striker wouldn't go a miss to really help push for CL football this season - which I'd never have dreamt of saying 4 months ago.

I do hope we don't end up in a similar situation to the Mike Ashley situation. Spend tonnes of money to revamp squad when it's necessary, but for seasons to come we never spend because we're "meeting expectations".

If we do make into Europe, especially CL, we'll need, if the squad stays as it is now -

Maybe a LB? How long do we wanna leave burn at LB? Do we want a fullback with attacking threat and in their natural position or do we just wanna keep playing Burn?
A back up fullback.
A back up CB, unless we want to pray botman and schar stay fit and rely on Lascelles to cover. Lascelles will get slaughtered at CL level.

Another two CM's, because after Joelinton and Bruno we have nothing much of value. We need another starting 11 CM option + a better back up, not Longstaff or Willock. Longstaff and Willock are ok as 5th/6th choice after a strong starting 3 + another back up.

A winger We have no one of value at LW. Joelinton and Willock shouldn't be playing there long term. And is Almiron good enough on his own?

An attacking mid or another winger - Is almiron gonna be relied on to create much?

A 3rd choice striker, because Wilson will get injured.
