The mackems are proper bitter

When NUFC do the exact same **** that any other fanbase does, the mackems just fake it and pretend it's ONLY Geordies who do it. Never ever have they ever seen another fan base... Like their manager... Or fill more seats when they play well.

Only Newcastle do this and they do it to specifically spite Sunderland.

They're off their heads

Seems Gordon for £50m is all but done.

I still get giddy when we spend money tbh

Think Roy made a fine point that Gordon does seem to really suit some of what we do; he's rapid, loads of stamina and is very, very tenacious in terms of pressing. Having another English lad ahead of potential Europe qualification probably also in the mind somewhere. Would I rather Maddison to replace Longstaff? Yep. But would I prefer to not see Murphy coming on? Bigger yep.

I think we might get Madders and Gordon

Thought this when we were linked to him and sticking too it. Think it's a decent signing.

He adds another dynamic to our attack, he's also a confident lad, which we need in front of goal.

Willock seems scared of his shadow, Longstaff tbf was in on goal yesterday and Isak just didn't pass.

£60m instantly buys James Maddison. Compare his stats to Gordon.

And ASM is clearly going nowhere.

The straight up price is missing context.

Leicester want 60m up front, while Everton are willing to accept half now and some additions later.

Probably considering relegation

Key in the sense he sorted out a position that was a total mess in the team, not as in he was the complete solution to the problem.

Obviously Bruno, Burn, Joelinton etc were essential to the turnaround too, but Wood played his part. Trippier only played a handful of games before he got injured, so its easy to overestimate his part and underestimate Wood's part.
I think the whole reason he didn’t work was because we didn’t actually want a target man and actually they are becoming a bit of a dinosaur anyway, unless you decide you want to play like Burnley.
Much rather have mobile strikers. Think we should persevere with Wilson. He is just going through a lean spell. Would like to see him and Isak together though, rather than one or the other.
