It will most likely be none of the above.
The press are usually wrong about 80% of the time (and even the 20% is often only reported once things are actually moving on a deal, so not as as if they are the first to be 'in the know'). But still, it helps them to sell newspapers & online subscriptions, so all good.
I can’t see any major signings this month. If Bruno’s injury was quite serious I would have expected a CM.

Based on how we operated last Summer, I'm 99% confident we are interested in a very small shortlist of talent - Maddison and Diaby - for the first team, along with a number of other emerging talents none of us have heard of (Fresneda or Perrone, for example). There was a brief link to Isak about a month before he signed. Botman was similar. Bruno was more like a day before. On that basis, the persistent chat about Fresneda looks like it's agreed. I think Maddison is now down to who will blink first and financial terms. Then it's about how many more Kuol's we can sign.
