Rarely works. They always have this kind of backward step look about them when it happens. Need to catch players on the rise, not fall. McTominay very much plummeting. More of a Burnley signing IMO, would make more sense.

If they sell ASM they might buy someone, muses Downie. You'd ****ing hope so - surely the intention isn't to sell ASM to allow Murphy and Fraser more game time, or are we trying to get out of the Top 4?

 

Personally I'd like to see max isak and Wilson play together but if selling max gets you diaby then so be it .

 

If a top 4 team don't want him then he's certainly not good enough for a top 3 team,simple.

 

It wouldn't surprise me if the big 6 clubs are now working together in transfer windows tactically to try and stop nufc..

 

Clearly one of them is: "hey Eddie - we've got McTominay and Maguire available for loan if you're interested? They've been AMAZING in training but only want Champions League football, which we might not be able to offer......"
