Romano seriously linking us with Mason Mount. That one seems to have come from nowhere, same report says Chelsea have wrapped up the deal for Nkunku and are also after Moukoko

He would be perfect for us. Moreso than a Maddison etc. If we can get him back on song, he would be an amazing player for us

Agree, although I can't see Chelsea wanting him to come to us (and be Eddie'd) while we are currently disrupting the usual top 6.
 
We all know the problem with January is Maddison is playing so well that Leicester are unlikely to sell him for anything less than £50m, they would be in the bottom 3 only for him. Add to it the Newcastle “tax” we are probably looking at around £65m for him. So do the owners gamble and wait until the summer, hope we can secure a top 4 spot and then hound Leicester to sell him to us, he will probably be desperate to join at that stage, refuse to extend his contract which expires June 2024 and throws in a transfer request, we then get him for somewhere around £30/35m….with FFP getting tight that £30m saved goes towards signing another high quality player.

Moukoko is the one you want out of all of those. I think Mount is seriously SERIOUSLY overrated - can't stand the lad - see the game on Saturday - what did he do? Murphy is better than him.

I'd throw silly money at Dortmund for Moukoko though - 6 goals in 14 games for Dortmund this season and he's only 17. I'd go as far as selling Wilson and ASM to fund it.

They weren't willing to sell him for less than £50m in the summer either. However that would have got him them, and would still get him now imo.
 
Being increasingly linked with Cody Drameh of Leeds. Having a young lad as cover for right back would be useful and he's no doubt learn a lot from training with Tripps.

And growing rumours of Lascelles, Wood and Ritchie potentially all being offloaded in January to make room in the squad for any inbound.
 
I reckon priority should be a right sided forward. The spot is Miggys for sure but we are light in that position if he is out. Can this Garang kid play off the right? Also I've still got the fear about Trippier being out for any time. It's such a shame Krafth got injured but if we are to sustain this push for top 4 I think we need some more quality cover. If we can get Maddison it's a no brainer
