So in conclusion for us, two young exciting British prospects. Both seem like proper down to earth lads too.
Don't wish Perez any ill will tbh, signed him for pennies and played his heart out for us. For a season he was genuinely one of the best forwards in the league, never seemed negative.
Darlow has joined Hull on loan, having literally just been on the bench for the semi final tonight. Fair play, good luck to him.
I've come to the conclusion that our new owners are not interested in deadline day deal which I don't actually mind. The last deadline day i was super excited on was when we signed Almiron and I remember Chippy saying (and I quote), "If we sign him I will eat my pubes on a cracker". If we get our business done earlier in windows then great and i'd actually prefer that so we have them in the team early to either bed in during pre-season or play the early Jan games etc. I'm relatively happy with our business this month. I think ASM and Isak are gonna be very important players for us for the second half of the season and having Gordon in our squad as well will give us yet another option. If we can finish about Spurs and Chelsea I will be absolutely ****ing ecstatic and that should hopefully see us finishing top 4. Arsenal and City have way too much quality and points over us for us to catch realistically so I think (hope) it will be a hard fought battle between us and Man Yoo for 3rd/4th. I would happily take top 6 at the end of the season tho that's for sure, if we can throw an EFL trophy in there as well all the better.
When we sign players on deadline day we end up with Dennis Wise doing dodgy deals and bringing in Xisco and Nacho Gonzales. Or solving our striker shortage with Shefki Kuqi.
I'm sure he could find hundreds of posts from ACS threatening to either eat pube sandwiches or show his hairy arse in Fenwick's shop window.
I've just been trying to believe that he's still here, it seems the days of signings like Xisco and recruiting youth prospects like Nile Ranger are long gone
Name change was due to me pulling @Libby (well, not actually Libby, just a bloke in a grey hoodie) in the pub before kick off.
