Someone who wins headers and holds the ball up brings others into the game. Isn't it obvious

No. Why do we need that? We're clearly scoring more than enough as we are. If you bring another striker in, then you have to drop Campbell, who's been one of our best players

Given 14 of our goals have come against 3 of the worst teams in the division, then our goals for record doesn't start to look so clever. Most teams will score for fun against these as they are hopeless.

Bolton 4
Burton 4
Birmingham 6

**** me.
The ball kept coming straight back yesterday, thus placing more pressure onto our back four. A hold up player, the clue Is in the ****ing name, holds the ball in the opponents half. Taking pressure off the back four and allows the team to push up.
That's my last reply

In 4 of our last 5 we've scored at least 2 goals and we've scored in all but 2 games all season. We're fine for goals. It's the other end where we need help.

My shopping list would be:

LB, RB, CH and a big Striker up front. We lack a physical presence up top.
I would go with this . We need to be a bit nastier as we are to nice too .

As Adkins said in his post match conference, he went direct first half. It clearly doesn't suit us and it didn't work. We got the ball down in the second half and played well. Get the ball down, then there's no need for a target man.

Fraizer's all round game is very good and with our budget there's no chance we can bring in a better forward than him in Jan.

We don't need anyone, at least according to some in the last transfer window thread. We have a good balance of experienced old hands, our own youths fighting for their chance and the Chelsea loans, a good window and astute business by our owners. Of course some of the best players left as is always the case on relegation but we kept a good spine and cleverly added to it.

On top of all that the Allams pulled of a real coup by getting in a manager with both International and Champions League experience, how many Championship teams can match that?

I wouldn't go mad in January. We won't go up and we won't go down. I'd like to see a young winger come in, someone like Aarons from Newcastle. But that would be it for me. January is a very expensive window, so I would leave it till the summer.

The Chelsea loanees haven't really worked but they're here for the season so there's no point replacing them unless they get recalled.

The most important thing is getting Mason, Abel & Moses back playing and Abel's contract situation sorted. Arguably they're our 3 best players and they'll completely change our team.

A decent left back is a must. Right back we're fine, Aina, Tamori can both do a job and hopefully odubajo will be back soon.

A Meyler alternative.. maybe a youngish player with potential? someone who can sit in midfield and break up play.

Wingers... I dont think we've ever sorted this area out. Silva came closest. at least 1 more winger, 2 if Grosicki goes.

lastly.... and I realize this isnt a signing... but recall Mannion and make him our new no.1.

We've just paid £3m for a left back. We aren't going to spend on another one.

EPT , You think we are going to keep Abel ?

Probably not but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Why on earth would you make mannion our no1?
