I see Palace are close to signing Eder. I was advocating on here Bruce getting him when at Samp when he would’ve cost us £7m max and singlehandedly kept us up.

For nowt wouldn't be good enough, Allam would have expected him to pay us a joining/membership fee. Coleman said of his transfer, the most important thing is that he is up for the fight, somebody we could have done with. Another couple of possibles we should have/could have been over;

Steven Caulker, FREE, experienced defender, something we need desperately, once deemed better than James Chester for an England spot. What a fall from grace for him. Had his issues/demons with drink & depression, would fit in well with us and FREE - tick.
David N'Gog, free, ex Liverpool forward, come back from abroad, not a prolific scorer, but is a striker and FREE - tick.
Just this week signed for Scottish side, Ross County!!

Lescott is also available on a free. There's players around. We need bodies, we haven't even got enough of those at the moment.

what is a player signing?
surely you need hundreds of millions of pounds to sign one?

Paying wages for 7 people to sit twiddling their thumbs on the bench? Waste of money. We've re-signed the stadium. What else do you want?!?
