I take your point, but Moore hasn't played in the PL. Also this is complete conjecture, I doubt anyone really knows how much we offered. Chances are we offered £2m up front plus add-ons.
In this case it's completely a seller's market, Leicester really don't need to sell, the player probably wants to stay and we need players, Leicester will rightly over-price the player resulting in either a) them keeping him or b) us paying way over the top price. These aren't exactly the transfers I can see us getting in January, maybe if we stay up and Leicester fail to gain promotion then we could go after him in the summer for probably a much cheaper price.

Another, less exciting, rumour that's not being fulfilled: Man United's Anderson is having a medical at Fiorentina, so he also looks like he won't be coming to the Cottage.

Captain we can't get anyone else on loan I believe from England. Unless it is PL which is different.
Yes, Madness is right I think. That's why we shelled out for Parker and we rumoured to be bidding for Bertrand on a permanent deal.
Despite all the talk on here, I have not been convinced that we will sign anyone at all this window.
I'm not sure we have a Chairman who is willing to invest in us. Remember in the summer he said he wanted to take us to the next level? Where is the proof of that? I can't point to a single thing that backs up that statement. And if we go down he won't even have to worry about any additional costs from building a new stand.
If this is the case then the best we can hope for are a few more loans and to slide gracefully into the championship whilst keeping the goal difference from touching three figures.

We are in the middle of the transfer window. Think negotations are happening behind closed doors but I understand if the owner does not want to spend big. Unfortunately there have been mixed results since Rene and co were appointed and confidence is low.
This is one of Rene's most recent comments, following stories of West Ham complaint. It's the second time I've seen him say that Ali Mac is the one in control. Although it's how I'd expect things to be organised he does seem keen to emphasise (to fans I imagine) that he is limited by the actions of others when it comes to signings. I get the sense Ali is stuck between Rene who wants a decent investment and Khan who doesn't want to plough much of his own money in to transfers.

Arsenal spending £42m, after a long period of not shelling out, is a good indication of the kind of environment the club is competing in. Hull have just put down a decent outlay on two strikers - most other clubs around or just above us put their money down in the summer. As of yet Khan has made no real commitment to the club aside from clearing a debt which he will likely recoup.

I realise that we can't have any more loans, but now we can't get him on a permanent deal because he's gone to Villa on loan. I presume we tried (maybe), Chelsea didn't want to sanction a permanent transfer so we missed out to Villa. Frustrating.
Yep a free Manolev wouldn't be a bad shout as back-up RB, similar to Zverotic though, looks more comfortable as a Right Midfielder than Right Back. I'd take him and try loan Zverotic to a Championship club.
I'm gutted I didn't have a bet on him Ireland. I fancied and mentioned Ings a couple of months ago. He'll make a great replacement for Berba. I don't think Burnley will sell him unless we pay through the nose (we certainly won't get him for the quoted £4m).

With the transfer window having been open for nineteen days now and with no sign of any significant movement by Fulham Football Club, one leading Sunday tabloid is inferring that Rene Meulensteen is in the market for a new striker.
Apparently, Fulham are set to make a bid, said to be in the region of £4 million for Burnley`s prolific England U21 striker Danny Ings.
Ings, a prolific marksman in the Championship, has netted 21times as Burnley make a bid for promotion.
The report goes on to suggest that Meulensteen is keen to bring the age of our starting eleven down and sees Ings as a player capable of doing that whilst also making an impact in the Premier League.
It remains to be seen though whether Burnley are interested in selling at that price!
I think it's safe to say I was ahead of you on Ings, Bobby! I was keen on us signing him from Bournemouth before he went to Burnley. Sadly, I doubt that Burnley will sell him for any price in this window. The combination of him and Vokes is their best chance of getting into the Premier League, and this season may well be an all-or-nothing on that front - they can't count on having another year like this one next time. As for Roscafre's idea of offering Trotta in part exchange, I think that's worth exploring. They might be more willing to sell if they've already got a replacement with decent potential.
In summary, I'd love to see it happen, but despite the recent shift in the odds I doubt that it will.
Apparently we've offered Swansea £3M then £4m for left-back Neil Taylor. Since recovering from his injury early last season he's failed to win his place back from Ben Davies. He's 24 years old and sounds like a perfect solution to our problem position in the back four. Unfortunately, Laudrup is saying that he won't let Taylor go in this window, although he might reconsider in the summer.
That bid of £4m for a non-starting left back will probably rankle a bit with WH, I'm assuming the Morrison / Diame transfer is off the table now.
Jeremy Mathieu at Valencia would be interesting, he's a bit old for the kind of player I'd like to see us go for but might come in a little cheaper than £4m.
