I saw this one was on SportsDirect, I wouldn't believe a thing that comes from that site. They were saying that Spurs were trying to get Berba for £1.5m and could get him for even cheaper if they throw in Sigurdsson. There is absolutely no way whatsoever that Sigurdsson is worth less than £1.5m. Honestly I don't know why they bother.
Does anyone know much about Defour? I'm guessing he is an "all-round" midfielder that we'd be looking to slot in next to Parker, with Sidwell competing with Karagounis and Kasami for the other spot/rotational spots, rather than an attacking midfielder. If we could somehow add Sigurdsson to play in front of Parker and Defour, then I think we could finally have a good CM to build on. With regards to Morrison, I think we are now going to play a waiting game to see if our offer (combined with West Ham's poor form) cause him to get restless and hand in a transfer request. Of course if he is that kind of player, then I don't really want that personality here. Not until we have shipped out Berbatov and Taarabt, anyway! Honestly if (somehow) we manage to add Taylor & Defour, then that's a very good start. If we can get them and add a winger like Kaca but with some finishing composure, that would be a successful window for us.
Hardly has been setting the Cottage alight this season! Apart from 2-3 games the rest he has been sh*te!
Which is 2-3 games more than both the others! The point I'm making is, while it's all very well wanting the players nobody likes out, we need to have replacements sorted first. I'm all for Berba leaving, but in the right circumstances for Fulham.
We are reported as having upped our bid fir Liam Moore and added his team mate Jeffrey Schlupp to our wanted list. "Fulham have made a double bid for Leicester City pair Liam Moore and Jeffrey Schlupp. Fulham had previously had a £2 million bid rejected for Leicester City youngster Moore, and reports had suggested they would increase their bid to around £4 million. However it has now been reported that they are attempting to make a double swoop in bidding for both Moore and Schlupp." Source: http://first4lcfc.blogspot.co.uk/20...ed&utm_campaign=Feed: First4lcfc (first4lcfc) Schlupp is also a left sided player - think he been on the wing there for them recently.
I understand what you are saying very well. But the other two have hardly had the opportunities Berba had this season!
I'm pretty sure the club have a contingency plan in place were Berba to leave during this transfer window.
No I would not, but I expect them to have an option in place. If not we will be in trouble. Although the times Taarabt played up front on his own has been good.
Very true, not sure I'd want that setup every game though... To be fair, if Berbs goes or not I think we need at least one striker.
I'm pretty sure the Man City game was the only time he's featured in the lone striking role? But yes, he did play well in that one game. Would you be happy seeing him there for the rest of the season though? Not sure I would to be honest.
Think we played Berbatov and Taarabt in that one. I'd rather throw Dembele in without Bent or Rodders. The young man can at least control and hold the ball. There is of course Dempsey who didn't do too badly as front man in one of our previous emergencies.
We're being linked to midfielder Abdisalam Ibrahim who is now available on a free from Man City . "The 22-year-old Norway Under-21 international, who recently voiced his frustration at a lack of first-team opportunities at the Etihad Stadium, has been linked with a move to Olympiakos this month and has also reportedly been monitored by other Premier League clubs. Ibrahim joined City in 2007 but made just three first-team appearances, all in 2010, including one off the bench in a Premier League game against Liverpool in February that year. A statement on City’s Twitter account read: “The club can confirm that Abdisalam Ibrahim has been released from his contract. We wish him well for the future.” Source: http://www.london24.com/sport/fulham/fulham_and_swansea_target_available_on_a_free_1_3235473
