The info I got was from a third party saying Roberts signing was a cert and Defoe was a no..didn't fit the profile and concerns over injuries/fitness/playing time. (This I posted night before Roberts signed).

Conversation tonight indicated Defoe interest is solid and progressing..no firm answer I believe yet. Fingers crossed.

Don't worry mate. You tell us stuff in good faith from what you've been told in good faith. But things can change very quickly and what you tell us might have changed by then with you knowing. I think that there's been a lot of movement in a short time for this deal to come off, compared to where we were only a couple of days ago.

One swallow doesn't make a pornstar as you know mate. It'll be a good few windows but I believe they'll get it right. Omelets and eggs etc.
