Wasn't Mick Dawson £5m?

But other than him yeah, all the best defenders we’ve had have been £2-3m. Davies, Elmo, Robbo, Maguire were all in that price bracket. Chester even cheaper at £300k, you don’t get that anymore. Big clubs want £500m for their academy cast offs these days.
Gardner was 2.5m over 15 years ago....prob 5-10m in today's crazily priced world

Just checked his wiki page...We'll be his 10th club...11th if you count Coventry twice...Not bad for a 23 year old....

Boro supporting family member was very envious that we were linked with him. I think he was there on loan from Wolves before he chose Luton? She says he creates numerous chances through crosses though not as strong defensively. He was very highly thought of there, but Luton offered him a permanent.
My first thought was that’s not what Liam wants from his full backs (inverted, non overlapping), though he sounds very similar to Vinaigre (minus the injuries please). Sounds like him and Philo wil run riot down threat left flank
Defensive skill can be taught, lets be honest he sounds very much like Robbo (when he first came he was a bit mehhhhhh defensively at times) and he has become the complete package.

Sorry Hullborn and JHE I was catching up from page 212 and had the same thoughts as you earlier./.

Boro fan on umberside said he’s a great signing with a wand of a left foot. Possiblr weakness is defensivly but he admitted that was possibly because of the way Boro played.

*the only certificate he had was an MOT certificate, so believe him or not*
