Ryan Giles would be a neat signing tho (just to add something on topic)

Liverpool no, he'll go on loan again to a PREM team....that's the aim anyway

Not sure he's quite at that level yet personally, certainly on the defensive side, though he could flourish in a side where he didn't need to do it so much.

You don’t think success has any impact on transfer policy? Surely it has the biggest impact?

For younger players like Morton ( for example ) their pathway to first team will be mapped out and they'll know in theory where they want him each season and how they want to get him ready for the first team, so at his stage the success of first team won't make a huge difference to their plans for him. Obviously that could change for a few reasons like massive injury lists or Morton making huge strides and improvements etc.

I assume a year in the Prem would bump his value even if he didn't have any long term future at Liverpool anyway? So either way, unless we're that Prem team, it's unlikely he'll be coming back.

I think you are spot on and with players like Morton with Liverpool being his home town club the attraction to play for them is probably an added incentive.

This is the closest you've come to agreeing with me in a while. ;) Did you have to say a couple of Hail Mary's after?

It’s one thing Morton been loaned to a Prem side it’s another gaining any game time in that league. A bit of stress at the bottom of that league he will almost certainly be bombed out for a more experienced player.

Latest from Baz..

In talks with Luton for the left back Giles with "all options on the table" regarding what kind of transfer it will be. Im guessing a loan with an option to buy.
Abdülkadir Ömür is one of the winger options we're in talks with but the deal isnt as close as Turkish media make out.

He goes on to say we've brought in Sharp, Carvalho and Pandur so far and expect as many as 4 more through the doors. LB, Winger, Striker, ? The only other position id like to see improved on is right back.

Omur is referred to as a Twine replacement. It’s LB, winger and striker on top as well as a Twine replacement.

Still can't get on twatter, tried everything I can think of. So can someone else that uses it please copy any info on here please?

As good as this Omur kid looks, id hope to bring in an out and out winger for the right side. LR keeps on saying he likes to play with wingers but has played Delap, Slater, Twine, Tufan etc all out wide this season, none of which are proper wingers. Philogene is the exception of course but we need the same on the opposite wing.

I cant think of the last time we had a full lineup of players actually playing in their best position. Hopefully after these 4 signings we can do that. Although I still think we need more than 1 winger. Cover for Philogene and a better Lokilo option on the right would help balance the team out massively.

Ömür has played just as much on the right as he has centrally
