FFS stop talking crap, just because someone has a different view and or opinion to you doesn't mean they have an axe to grind.

And as for it only being £250k etc. I'd rather of saved that £250k + wages etc by not signing a player that has given us no real improvement over what we already had and then spent that £250k on revamping the recruitment team we have and bring in people who can find us players that actually improve us and not players like allsop.

We need 2 senior keepers, so had to bring someone in even if it was as a number 2. You'd imagine Ingram will now be moved on and will likely fetch upwards of 250k. So Allsopp has actually cost us very little and Rosenior has 2 keepers that fit his way of playing.

Allsop has five CS for the season against Leeds, Birmingham, PNE, Hudd, Cardiff, how many does Ingram have..?

Reports of Allsop's ****ness are greatly exaggerated, but that seems the way of things these days. Players are either rubbish or brilliant.

Same with Lokilo

Good to hear Furlong playing well too

Ingram has a market value. And in his last year next season. Wouldn't be surprised if we cash in our chips personally, help fund Pandur.

No you're right, you know way more then me about what I'd do, not even sure why I even thought about it when I could just ask you and you'd tell me what I'd do....

I was working on the basis that nobody would be stupid enough to try and compete in the Championship with only one keeper, particularly one who doesn’t suit the way we play.

I know you know this, but I will say it anyway. Clean sheets are as much about the team as they are the keeper.

Allsop ain't the best shot stopper. You see that....right? His distribution is excellent (albeit has had **** ups).

Of course I know this. I know you know this but I'll say it anyway, I'm sure in those games as well as games we didn't keep CS in Allsop saved shots on target while also doing what he was brought in for, distributing the ball well with his feet. The point of bringing up the games he kept CS in was since people seem to be convincing themselves that Allsop hasn't saved a single shot for us in his City career. As I say in my post, this board seems to go on a hyperbolic train at times where once an opinion is made of a player it goes from "Yeah he's ok but not as good as we'd hoped" to "He's the worst keeper I've ever seen in a City shirt".

I don't think I claimed he's the best shot stopper, just that he's adequate and will be adequate depth when Pandur comes in.

Oh yer that was absolutely crystal clear by your post, my mistake for missing something so clear and just thinking it was one of your usual pointless comments....but you're right, it would be stupid to do that, almost as stupid as trying to compete in the championship with 2 forwards and nobody would be stupid enough to do that would they.

He has added a new dimension to the goalie role, which I have never seen live before.
He acts as a sweeper, which apart from giving the defence that reassurance, he provides us with a spare man when building from the back. He also dominates not just the penalty area, but the last quarter of the pitch.
His handling has been a little insecure of late, but massively over exaggerated.

It would be if we played 2 up top and had no one else to do a job there if needed.

But that's patently not the case.

Oh yet I forgot, we are the best around at forcing square pegs where they don't fit..... Even playing 1 up there, it's stupid only having 2 with the amount of games, injuries and suspensions in the championship
