I think there is no way Carvalho is coming in to play on the wing, other than sporadically. You would imagine we made a commitment to play him in his favoured position down the middle and that would be a major part of what sold us to both him and Liverpool.

I think you need one to be successful in this style. Both teams who employ this style to the highest level have them in Rice and Rodri. I think it is a long term necessity but we may be able to get away with it until/if we go up. But long term it definitely needs addressing as teams play through the midfield way too easy. Fulham did it perfectly going from Seri to Palhinha when they went up.

You’re correct no doubting you, for this level though I understand the vision, I aren’t sure Burnley/Fulham had one and dominated the league.

Vinagre is always injured and is probably high wage.
Don't believe Carvalho is replacing Twine as i don't think Twine is going anywhere.
Not aware Allsop is going anywhere,Ingram may though.
Everyone on this board even without coaching badges or medical certs knew Vinagre was a sick note.
How can you say Fabio isn’t replacing twine they are both 10’s.

The Twine slander is ridiculous, he’s been playing out of position where normally our best player is, think people need to lower their expectations, he’s not going to do what Philogene does.

He’s an absolute work horse and an intelligent player that is obviously trusted by the manager, I feel like he’ll improve even more once he has better players around him too. 7 goal involvements so far is not bad at all.

1000% agree. Well said

How many goalkeepers have we actually got on our books?

Ryan Allsop
Matt Ingram
Timothee Lo-Tutala
David Robson
Harvey Cartwright (Loan at Grimsby)
Owen Foster
David Robson
Ivor Pandur (Incoming)

Potentially 8 keepers. Surely some have to be on the way out?

You can never have enough Keepers!

Is David Robson so good he's listed twice? I suspect some will go out on loan.

I think you'll find there's only one David Robson.

The youth teams need keepers as well, you can't get rid of all of them.

The answer is in the question… they’re all keepers.

Why do you keep saying this with some pretence of authority? He played wide at Liverpool and did at Fulham too on occasion.

I never said no one knew Vinagre was not a sick and as for Twine it seems LR is happy with him where ever he decides to play him i don't think he is a direct replacement i think he has been added to give the squad more of a threat.

LR on Twine,

"He's now got three goals in six games – that was always going to come for him because his technical quality on free-kicks is top, his arrivals in box positions are really good and he fits in completely with the culture of the group, the group absolutely adore him," said Rosenior.

"He seems happy at the moment. I like to see players enjoying themselves and I've got a group who enjoy themselves on the pitch and enjoy each other's company off the pitch as well.

"If you don't enjoy yourself you don't maximise your potential.

Pretty sure that in the couple of games he's played against us for Fulham he was down the middle, behind Mitrovic. He scored against us in the away game, didn't he? ****er.

Yeah I just checked, it was less frequent at Fulham but very regular at Liverpool.
