I'm not agreeing that you didn't say it at all. Anyone reading that is going to take the same implication from it quite simply because that's the semantics of what you wrote.
You said that LR was a young inexperienced gaffer who's early in his career.... and doesn't have the contacts, the pull and the experience in the transfer market. You said it in reply to a post saying this years recruitment has been underwhelming.
I took that to mean that you meant that was a negative and would hamper the clubs ability to sign players we want.
What did you mean?
Oh and what do you mean by ‘pull’? (I did ask earlier but you were busy in a squabble so maybe missed that. Experience you can sort of quantify, contacts are quantifiable, although I can’t personally see how he could fail to have
It isn't necessarily a negative, just that in life and football especially, experience and who/what you know really helps. I've obviously no idea and the career you've had in your life, but looking back on it. Did you do a better job after a couple of years of doing it or after 10yrs. Did having experience help you do your job better and easier? Did that experience mean others came to you to learn from or the person who'd only been doing the job For a year or 2?
I know it's impossible, but if you could give LR with the experience he has now £10m to spend this Jan window or LR with 10yrs and 20 transfer windows worth of experience, which would you choose?
In regards to pull ( sorry I didn't see it ). LR is still very early in his career, no promotions under his belt, no real record of player development, no history of style of management, style of play, no history of how he treats players long term and a number of things that come with time served in the game and the reputation that comes with it. No before anyone jumps on it..... absolutely none of the above is his fault and can't be helped, it's all just down to the fact he's at the start of his career ( which I think will be a successful career btw ). But some (not all) players will look to a more experienced manager.

So in 10 years time with more experience, who's to say he's still in our price range?
That's the last thing the club will be making public going into it, for obvious reasons.
We definitely need to shore up our right hand side considering most goals conceded are coming from that flank. I'd probably go with a left back to move Coyle back across to the right, another winger for the right hand side (ideally who can track back) and I still think we're short in central midfield given Seri and Traore are off to AFCON.
That's at the very least.
I'd try to offload Allahyar, Sinik, Doc. Loan out Smith Vaughan, Jacob and Furlong.
I doubt we'll have an unlimited budget, but then I don't think we require major surgery (unlike some) either.
But we can't keep conceding the same goals over and over from cut ins on the right that we have been in recent weeks.
Christie clearly isn't the same player since his injury. He just isn't getting tight to his man when we're defending anymore - not that Lokilo or Traore are offering much meaningful cover ahead of him.

In 10 years time we might think he was found out and was crap, whereas he seems to have fairly good stock at the moment I think.
Probably I have a different view as I didn’t find the last transfer window underwhelming. I was relatively whelmed
Couple of full backs, couple of wingers, backup in midfield and that's quickly becoming 50% of the starting 11
(I hope we're looking for Seri's longer term replacement as I don't think he'll be starting as many games next season, if he's still here)
I think we'll keep Seri around for another season yet - but yeah, that's why someone like Bird would make sense - to get a succession plan in place.
I think it'll be 3 more in this Jan. If we solve the LB issue then we could just kill 2 birds with 1 stone by freeing Coyle up for the right. Maybe we find a winger who can play either side, then we won't look so short of wide options when Jaden comes back?

If it wasn't meant as a direct criticism of Rosenior, then it's as pointless a post as me saying if I had an extra million quid I'd be a millionaire.

It was evident yesterday, Sunderlands danger man kept quiet while Coyle was on, suddenly scores the winner once Christie replaced him.
Conundrum is that he seems to have something to offer still going forward though.
Rotherham was it he got 2 assists? Then went straight to press asking for a new contract even though he still has 6 months and an option year. Seemed a bit craven at the time and I wonder if it's because he knows himself that he's not come back the same.
Got a lot to prove before we should consider triggering the option though. Let alone an extended deal.

Managerial experience and 'pull' is only one factor in signings. We can still get the signings we want it might just take better terms than otherwise, or more convincing. Luckily we have a hands on owner who is happy to produce that extra element of attraction to the club. I highly doubt that we lost many signings because they thought Rosenior was too inexperienced. When I questioned HT on who these supposed players were he said they didn't end up leaving their original club and he still couldn't say who they were, so I guess they didn't think any manager in any league was experienced enough to leave their current club!
I don't see any issue with the window we've just had. It was miles better than either of the previous two windows. Delap and Morton in on loan, Philogene on a permanent is enough on its own to make it a terrific window such has their contribution been to our success. Add Connolly on a permanent who has scored some crucial goals for us this season and may well stay long term. Twine has been hit and miss but had 3 in 5 after his FK against Cardiff and everyone was coming round to him, but Connolly missing a sitter denying him an assist suddenly means he's **** again. Allsop jury is clearly divided and Vinagre and Furlow are duds at this stage, but what window doesn't produce a dud signing or two.

Not only that there have been plenty of experienced, higher level Ex-players in the media positively fawning over the job he's doing.
Wonder if HT2 has other reasons to constantly seek to undermine Rosenior? I assume there's no longer a professional reason to toe a party line at the club since the new owner/head coach has come in?
Such is the stark and obvious change in his narrative compared to when we really did have a **** gaffer/recruitment.
Something has clearly changed.

Buying a promotion ready team is a dream, & a complete myth that it’s easy. Rosie has had a look at what we’ve already got, decided where we need improvement, in the summer window, it was in attack, he obviously felt the defence was decent enough not to just rip it up & bring in a whole new defence, he went with 2 at LB, one which now looks like a waste of a loan because he’s constantly injured, but when he’s played, he looks like a PL player, the other a young kid who he’s now seen as not ready for the Championship.
It’s a building project, bits & pieces at a time. We can’t just bring in 10-20 players, cash, contracts don’t work like that. As fans we should all be able to know & see this.
We’ve lost 2 close games in a row, it’s not like we were battered in either match, but now, it’s all doom & gloom, bring in a new manager with contacts & experience!
