I'm as excited as some about the Pandur signing however I've yet to see any clips, quotes or stats to show how good his distribution is (both short and long). While Allsop can't save a shot for his life his distribution both short and long have helped the team immensely.

If Pandur can prove on the training ground he can do that, and save a shot, he'll be starting before the end of the month.

There isn’t a lot to go on regarding his distribution, especially short passing to defenders/midfield, because Fortuna play a lot more direct than us. That’s not to say he can’t do it but his time at Fortuna won’t give an accurate picture of his short distribution.

However, he played in Italy which is a very technical league and keepers as a general rule of thumb are expected to be decent with their feet in Italian football.

Baz is saying we have 2 targets that may go to the wire (same old story). Does anyone know if that means we are just looking at 2 players or are the 2 targets on top of, say a LB or a ST?

Both our current keepers seem to have strengths and weaknesses. More importantly nether, certainly from what I can see are what you’d call consistently solid or reliable in goalkeeping basics . That’s why it’s becoming imperative City’s next signing between the sticks has all that and more about his game. Most good side being assembled start at the back beginning with a good solid No1 keeper who dominates his area and gives his back four confidence by his own example.

Would imagine we’ll end up with what we can afford.

The last thing we need is to bugger about until deadline day and sign no one because the selling club don't want to sell or the player chooses someone else.

Pandur definitely should be brought in as #1, otherwise there’s no point. Ingram is a decent shot-stopper and average with his feet. Allsop is decent with his feet and is an abysmal shot-stopper. Pandur is better than both and has a higher ceiling than both. Fortuna fans rate him highly and I think he could’ve gone for €5-10 million to a Serie A, French or newly-promoted Prem team in the summer. How we’ve got him for £1.5 million is anyone’s guess. It’s a steal. There must be some catch like Acun forgiving debt owed to him from his previous stake in Fortuna, a high sell-on percentage and/or Allahyar going the other way on loan.

Fortuna fans believe the club owed some money to Acun so there’s a bit of a favour going on

Re. Allsop. Was he? Did Rosenior or Tan tell you that? Rosenior brought him in as his new No. 1. He's now having to replace him because he's not good enough for top end Championship which is where we were aiming.

What the hell has that last sentence got to do with anything I said, or anybody else for that matter. Answer = nothing.

I dunno mate, just going by the fact he's not 22, he's 31. Something tells me we don't see him as our keeper for the next 5 seasons.

Hull thoughts on losing Scott Twine?

I think he can certainly be a lot better at this level than he has been for us and no doubt will go on to be an absolute star in your team because Sod’s Law dictates that must happen <laugh>

He was very underwhelming for us. Tried hard, showed little flashes of good technical ability but just couldn’t perform consistently at all, went anonymous a lot and just couldn’t get going as a Hull City player really. I’m sure he will be disappointed with how his time here went and presumably our management feel the same and that’s why he is now with you.

He also likes to throw himself to the floor at every given opportunity so expect a lot of promising attacks to break down with him waving his hands around at the referee.
