Don't be so bloody stupid !

Sunderpitt's allowed his view, right or wrong, as are you, and you seem to be a canny lad, like him, so shut up and keep talking

We'll be fine. Clarke is the other striker now.

I credit the players and the manager exclusively for the success on the field.

Speakman has been more lucky than smart. KLD is a youngster with a play toy.

I want an owner who would allow us to pursue a player similar to Daryl Dike.

He is the big lad who came on late for West Brom to score the winner against us.

22 years old, full of potential, not scrawny, and certainly not available on a free,

with a large sell-on clause. Getting a player like that would probably take $10 - 15 million.

We will never see this level of commitment from this ownership team.

Mowbray can’t be happy, surely? One young lad on loan to rely on up top for the rest of the season. He won’t complain though, he probably still can’t believe he was offered the job.

It’s all about opinions we all have different opinions
Otherwise what’s the point of this board I don’t agree with what a few people say then yet again I agree with a few
However my opinion is what I put over and like it or not

We have the 2nd highest net spend in the league and have our most exciting team for yrs yet some folk still arent happy

If that's true about putting our eggs into one basket then they haven't learnt from Broadhead in the summer.
i don't think we did just have simms, the was other options but i think from everton side and what the were feeding sunderland was it was going to happen so was less stress on sunderland's part

at somepoint last night sarr deal with everton was on and it looked like simms was coming

Exactly. Some points of view make me angry or make me shake my head. As long as people posting are doing it honestly, with the odd wind-up/tongue in cheek comment thrown in, then crack on.

It's a great forum.

Ah... never had you down as a happy clapper, thought you had been a supporter for years and knew when to spot a likely false dawn?

Fella, I love a good moan (ask the wife) but I've never in my lifetime seen the club run as good as this. I'm not privvy to behind the scenes but trust the process. No more panic buys, Danny Graham etc etc etc. Guess we shall see.

Totally happy with the recruitment generally. But to have only 1 fit striker (on loan and who hasnt played yet) is a major cock-up, a lesson not learned. I mentioned in a previous thread something along the lines that it is nice supporting a club who are not constantly walking a tightrope for a change. I'm not ready to dust my balancing pole down yet but I shouldnt potentially be thinking, for the next 18 games, after every defeat, 'well at least our only striker didnt get injured, thats a plus!'

Depends on what he considers to be his options up front. If he thinks Gerhardt and Lihadji can play up front then we're back where we were before Simms went back.

The only thing we're definitely lacking is a big brute to throw on if we need him.

I’m probably going to, at best, get stick for this, at worst cop a ban. But you’ve never got a single thing right, I normally turn a blind eye to your pretendy ITK as it’s harmless. But this isn’t, it’s whipping up the masses and simply isn’t true.

We did have back up plans, just because the club couldn’t get them over the line wasn’t for lack of want or trying. Sometimes these things are outside the club’s control. Particularly at the eleventh hour.

A whole host of clubs were waiting for dominoes to fall yesterday and very few did.
i didn't say we didn't have back up plans

but 100% the club thought simms was coming back believe what you want

i share what i'm told its up to everyone else if the want to believe it or not, i don't force a gun to peoples head it's a forum to share stuff

but like i posted last night that everton wanted sarr and it could be on, before anything was said then about 2 hours later the athletic reported it about sarr so it's not all bullshit

Well let's see where we end up...

Being a happy clapper is a pleasant place to be no doubt.
And there is it, i was waiting for you to call me a happy clapper

Once again ill say im not happy we didnt sign a striker but the recruitment team has enough credit in the bank with how theyve progressed the club

I would hate to be a supporter who just moans all the time and cant just enjoy the football we are playing and be excited for the future

1 goal in 41 appearances? Aye, he’s definitely the answer.

This after ten years of dross if we finish mid table playing this brand of football that has you off your seat then so be it, first year back just enjoy a relatively stress free season for once, we can look to go for the play offs next year, we’re so early into this process it’s unreal we’re even talking about the play offs at this stage
