Be honest though, is there anything he can say that will make you happier with the situation?
That's the problem with these statements. He has to put a professional angle on it "we're happy with the squad", "we won't compromise the financial security of the club on the wrong deal", "we think Lihadji and Clarke are both options to play striker" etc and he'll get absolutely slated for it.
If he comes out and says "we're disappointed, our window was poor and we don't have enough strikers", he'll get slated for that and may bring the morale of the squad down with it if anything he says can be perceived as criticism of our current squad.
He will do an interview for sure, but the fans who are disappointed will be waiting for the comment they can hang him for.
