Yeah I’m pretty disgusted at some comments I’m seeing on here and on twitter. There is some proper entitled, modern football fan behaviour starting to creep in among some of our fans mind.
Our recruitment is not costing us a shot at the playoffs, it's our recruitment that has given us a shot at the playoffs, which is well above any reasonable expectations that we could have this season.
Vastly important last hour. Unlikely now but just have to hope.
It's a massive disappointment. It's not an under 8s sport day, you don't get credit for trying and planning. It's professional sports with millions on the line and a fanbase with raising expectations.
Delivering and executing is why these lot are in the jobs they are. We literally don't have a fit striker we own.
Our own manager who is very much a company fella and believes in the youth said last week we need help and need experience. In the last week we have lost 3 of our most senior pros on the dressing room /on the pitch (Wright, Stewart and Evans). All players whos experience and stature has helped knit the younger players together. They are got and have been replaced by players who have not played senior minutes.
We have 1 player, a 10, not a 9 who we will have to expect to play every minute in a gruelling championship Feb to May. It won't happen and it's realistically impossible. Could get a sharp injury with not been playing much, likely. Then what? Back to Jack Clarke up top ?
Last time this happened we plummeted down the league and form was abysmal. Maybe even bottom of the form table. We have had 2 years to sort this and we havnt. Literally no other permanent striker bought.
Speakman and recruitment have made some good calls but not getting some experience and a number 9 option is absolute failure. No other way to dress it up.
Just a massive opportunity missed. We are in with a possibility of play off positions and we have absolutely left ourselves criminally short.
Our form without an available striker was 10 points out of 10 games, that is relegation form. Hope to God we can keep Gelhardt fit for the remainder of the season. There is some proper entitled, modern football fan behaviour starting to creep in among some of our fans mind.

That's my feeling mate, not sure what people expect in first season promoted. Don't even know how many goals the lads we've signed will score. It's not absolutely ideal but looks awesome compared to 2 years ago. We have spent 4 seasons with virtually no income. Which club is in an ideal position? Really don't understand the moaning, I'm delighted, perhaps naive, but each to their ownThere is some proper entitled, modern football fan behaviour starting to creep in among some of our fans mind.

Is what it is. Again, I'd rather sign no-one than just anyone. Maybe Speakman can explain what happened, but losing Simms ad Stewart was just rotten luck. No option but to get behind the lads and see what is achievable

You're easily pleased in that caseAny
It's negligent tbh, I'd have taken a Championship experienced striker on loan. Even Hoppe from Boro
He had 30 days since Simms went, again the plan looks like it was to have 2 strikers only with Stewart and Gelhardt, the gamble hasn't worked again. I just hope the young lad is up for the fight. Is what it is. Again, I'd rather sign no-one than just anyone. It’s ****ing disgustingWe just need an option. An actual 9. A loan to get us through to re consider options in the summer. All of our attacking players player better when playing off a 9. I won't accept a single player in world football was not available on a loan.
unprecedented may become our sobriquet
Where have I said you are a mag for thinking it’s ridiculous for having one striker?Christ getting accused of being a mag because I think it’s ridiculous we have on fit striker on our books who isn’t even a permanent deal. Forgive me for not being a boot kicker. It’s terrible that Mowbray only has one striker to choose from now after making it very clear he needed more.
Exactly this!!! a plodder better than no one. Just someone to jump for the ball up top and hold it up. Goes miles further than jack Clarke playing there. We couldn’t break Shrewsbury Town down until Stewart came on. I think it’s important to call mistakes out.We just need an option. An actual 9. Yes, clearly not bothered are they. It’s ****ing disgusting
The board are clearly not particularly bothered about anything on the field now we are safe. I’d we’d have achieved something by chance it would have been a bonus for them but it isn’t a real goal
Horrific attitude when fans are still going to attend 18 more games
If it's just a case of having a body in the box we might as well play O9 thereWe just need an option. An actual 9. A loan to get us through to re consider options in the summer.
