Good stuff mate
Any info whether it comes off or not is appreciated, especially now virtually nothing leaks out of the club! The lad who's told me is well known but rarely posts.
He, Grumpy Old Man, who's posted the info on RTG, and me are mutual friends. I've no doubt it's true and now just a question of whether the lad will fancy moving the length of the country.
The way young players are coached, developed and given te chance to play will help. I think playing Chris Rigg was a significant, and deliberate, statement from the club.
Just a point to those on RTG who rarely mention football but relentlessly post about other people. I'm not claiming to be the source of this info. I was also banned from RTG because I wouldn't back down in a row with Pancho, the weird Mod. I went back on, mainly to help my many RTG friends with tickets, etc. I had to deny being Reiver, to avoid an instant ban, but was constantly reported by one of the resident cranks. I didn't post any ITK knowledge under my new name.
I've recently posted, on here, that I've recently lost the last of my reliable contacts, a journalist, and rarely hear anything.
People on forums who probably never go to matches and simply attack other people, for no good reason, spoil these places for everyone ...
... but obviously think more of their own games and egos than the health of the board. There's some really sad people on the Internet.
Sounds promising, like you said the club has shown there is a pathway to first team football for young players here. So hopefully that helps now going forwardThe lad who's told me is well known but rarely posts.

.....yes....yes it is.
Completely agree on the Rigg situation giving him gametime. It got a lot of publicity on twitter with the FA Cup account retweeting about him being the youngest outfield player etc. It all helps with the image/profile we are going for. I'm sure the club tweeted about the average age of the team a few games ago being one of the youngest as well. The lad who's told me is well known but rarely posts.

Said it a million times but the progress since KLD came in is incredibleCompletely agree on the Rigg situation giving him gametime. The Academy twitter even commented on the average age of the u21 team for the last time they played Norwich (which is their next fixture). It's definitely not a coincidence....Said it a million times but the progress since KLD came in is incredible
This is why it’s important to not read into the results for the 23s so many are playing up ages, hopefully the start of a canny conveyer belt of lads coming throughThe Academy twitter even commented on the average age of the u21 team for the last time they played Norwich (which is their next fixture). Great to see, proper building blocks in place about time we made use of the academyYeah it's significant. It's also why at the start so much emphasis was placed on the infrastructure and personnel at the AOL. It's where loads of investment went.
Already seems to be moving forward.
Only a year, Jesus ChristI mean yeh - this was a year ago yesterday. Has any photo ever depicted how far we have come in 1 year than a now unemployed Chris Maguire, whilst playing for Lincoln, destroying us and lauding it over our manager for failing. To now.
Its not even night and day. It's like different generations.
