Everyone is just guessing. I'm 99.99% positive that no one either here or across the road knows all the ins and outs of the players contracts.
If by some miracle the 0.01% person frequents these boards then i'm 100% positive that they wouldn't be sharing them with us lot :)

I assumed as much! Both came from premier league clubs and in case of Clarke was signed by that club for 10 million or whatever he would have been on about 20k so only so much of a payout he would take to get playing!

This makes more sense! Bob is getting a bit annoyed that people are questioning a 1st choice player in the championship being on £700 a week.

If he was on that as the u23 prospect that's fair enough but no way is he on that now.

Exactly like I stated aswell he's had a new contract plus a 4 year extension since his first contract , if he was on £700 a week now he must have been on a fiver a week when he first signed

Plenty of people will know more about salaries, and wage structures etc than me. One thing I would say though I do think we either pay higher than some are suggesting, or we make exceptions. Danny Baath is the example that strikes me between the eyes when I hear we have a strict wage structure. We got him from Stoke where he will have been on a hefty salary I suspect. They paid £3m for him and he had been a week in week out championship performer at Wolves. I can imagine him taking some pay cut perhaps, but he isnt going to be taking a huge one when he can wait for a Bosman. I would be amazed if he is on the sort of weekly wage suggested as our max personally. Either we pushed the boat out, as Johnson suggested and thanked the club for, or we pay decent money by championship standards, likely even both. Just seems to me there is a likelihood we as a club are good payers and can spend when we want to for the right player.

like most on here i have no clue what wages are paid/offered to the players and i have no right to know so i will let everyone else argue over it. ;)

all i need to know is that the club is better than what they have been (in financial terms) and that the lads on the pitch actually look like they enjoy it here and play some pretty decent stuff now.

my main concern as a fan, considering our previous 10 years or so, is that we are moving in the right way and are in no danger to go backwards...as it stands it seems KLD has got a certain aim for the club to grow and (quite rightly) he stands by this and will continue to do so until there is a chance to alter such things as pay rise's, bonus payments etc and if the fans are not too happy about it then tough, when we are all pushing up daisies the club will still be here.

i really hope LND stays at least until the summer, i dont think about promotion as i feel finishing 4th bottom would still be a big improvement but a year of premiership with the 100M+ and parachute payments would not go amiss either and LND is a big part in getting there.

What i do know for certain, is that some players might leave and some players come in plus some players might stay.

Its good to be in the know ?
