Agree. 2/3 is fine as long as we can still develop our own players at the same time. I wouldn't want any loan player to come in and be guaranteed a place ahead of our own players. The club is doing so much good work at the moment. We are a world away from the **** show that Madrox and Short presided over - there is genuine planning and forethought to our dealings. It's massively encouraging

Good post mate....spot on!

my nephew grew up with one of are players
still talks to him now,

he's got a decent pay increase after we went

like most of are players

this player is now pushing 5 figures a week

so unless this player is not telling the truth what he's on he's had about 4x the increase

we pay a lot better then people make out

Good lad....common sense....keep it coming.

Morning you lovely lot. Seems to have been a loads of back and forward last night.

Difficult to know specifics of players exacts unless you're close friends or in the business.

Interestingly though, at the start of the season I did hear that we did have a 10k ceiling and would try our best to stay to that to all players that we owned. Bonus and other stuff can obviously be applied.

See how it pans out. What's clear is that we will offer what's affordable in terms of the sustainability plan.

Most on here think we are a massive club, we are as a fan base and as a building structure i have followed these everywhere since I was a young Un, we are going through a massive restructuring process, but if we don't get it right we will go back years, this new model will take 4 years to iron out, the fans want it done instantly.
But they want KLD to chuck his own money at it, he will not.
Does anyone know how much he got on Dec 21st as a trust payment ????.
Scary.

See,this is where it gets silly. Nobody on here has any entitlement to know how much money KLD has.....much less when he receives it.....and I would expect the sensible people on here to take no notice of any random speculation.
I think @Bob the Mackem has some contribution to make......it's obvious he has some connections......and,like him,I too have followed this club since I was a young-un....I'm 70 now....60 years for me.
We are a special club! Everyone who hates us knows it! Hopefully, in my limited lifetime, we can fulfill our fantastic, brilliant and engaging promise. It's my dream.

Check the OFFICIAL wage structure, its available online, I think someone posted it on here the other day, if not on here it's on RTG
Is that the Capology website your refering to?

The one with the big disclaimer stating "All salary figures are estimates as actual salaries may vary. Unverified players are calculated using algorithms, or sourced from reporting that has not been confirmed yet. Coverage may be limited or incomplete. Players marked in gray are inactive, on loan, or had their contract terminated, yet are still being paid by the club. Contact us for corrections"

Some of the figures quoted seem way off. My mate is pals with a player that was in our reserves last season and he was on around 700 a week so no chance pato has signed a new deal for that.

I always appreciate the guys who have contacts providing us with info when they get it but will always take it with a pinch of salt until it happens. Never know if the person providing them the info has an agenda or not

As you know mate, everyone at a football club has an agenda.

I've lost all of my contacts now but was given info, usually in good faith, by people 'in the know' including an agent, a journo and an ex-player who was still on the edge of the club ...

... quite often the info, they gave me, was totally contradictory but I posted what I was told unless I thought it would directly hurt the club.

Agents, managers, players will always use the media to push their cause.

I get that mate, I can't find the wage structure it was on here or rtg.

RTG used to be good. Then it got taken over by malcontents...and the mods still can't sort it.
This is a much better forum to talk objectively about our magnificent club, which means so much to us all.
Look forward to your analysis later.

There are some cracking posters, and lots of good stuff, but the resident weirdos are so relentless it's hard work ploughing through all the drivel. Some of the loons have such a seething agenda against the club, and often the area, it's hard to believe they're one of us.

A Charlton fan posted, I believe genuinely yesterday if a young forward they have that we could do with looking at.

Miles Leaburn was his name. Not a massive amount about him online, but wondered if anyone had heard more about him?

Even with 'contacts' it can still be a one way street... you may for instance get asked what are your thoughts about a game or player (just reading a couple of forums, would be better surely) but get no info back.

The lady journalist I used to be friends with told me junior sports reporters would spend most of their time on forums looking for rumours etc. That's fairly harmless but they'd also sign up to start rumours then report on them.

I was contacted, on here, by someone who sounded totally plausible and told me a few things that I posted. After a while I realised he was a wrong un. I was also contacted by 'Pancho', the strange RTG Mod who pretended to be from the club and threatened me with legal action if I continued posting about the impending KLD takeover.

Social media is great but it brings you into contact with some real knackers ...

... and I don't mean like Grindr <laugh>

Sustainability is one thing but we aren't going to retain many decent players for very long if the wage ceiling is 10k, local lads possibly for a bit longer but that's it.

I'd also be very surprised if the likes of Clarke and Ballard are on less than 10K.
