There a perfect example. Stokes owners are upset that FFP isn't being relaxed (and it won't be) so instead of trying to find ways to make it work, they want FFP relaxed so they can throw money at it
Sounds like sort of whining that will go on from MP for Newcastle East when the Saudis are banned from creating ridiculous fake sponsorship deals in order to circumnavigate FFPThere a perfect example. I think the answer is that the owner is running the club like a sustainable business. If renewing Stewart's contact isn't doable withing our financial limits then so be itI just think things like this are important so people can get the full picture before assuming the owner is tight / skint / useless
I agree mate, it's easy to throw figures around and "give him what he wants" but 20k a week is £1million a year, that's a a big lump out of our budget if we are aiming for 70% of incomeI think the answer is that the owner is running the club like a sustainable business. Agreed. We (the club) are damned if we do and damned if we don't. If Stewart leaves, the usual negative people will come out and question the "ambition etc" of the owner. If we give him a contract that then puts us in the red in terms of FFP, the same whoppers will be banging the "he's just a naive kid" drum. Yet 2 lads that are ITK have said we have offered 20?Our best offer has been £ 9800 plus add ons.
But it's been rejected
You said Ross is on triple what he was on, which would be around £9k and out best offer for a new contract is £9.8k?So they might not be ITK, we have never offered that
For Ross or Pritch? Our best offer has been £ 9800 plus add ons.
But it's been rejected
2022 has been bloody brilliant (within context) for the fans - to be going to games and seeing us win, going to Wembley, seeing us genuinely compete in a higher league has been ****ing fantasticUnfortunately your right mate.
However what we can do as fans is enjoy the ride, enjoy the team and hope that those that want to be negative eventually give up (not going to happen)
The next loss we suffer, they will be out in force
He is currently on 8250 ok 3 times was not exact but he gets add ons up to thatYou said Ross is on triple what he was on, which would be around £9k and out best offer for a new contract is £9.8k?
And we offered him 9.8k? Thats a lower percentage pay rise than I got ffsHe is currently on 8250 ok 3 times was not exact but he gets add ons up to that
